Jaiden's conversion of a Hasbro Clone...

Okay, I'll bite the bait. It's now my turn to show off what I've done to convert a Hasbro Clone Trooper helmet. Click here to see the full blog.

But, the whet your pallets, here's what I wound up with...



I intended for this to be a copy of the Obi-Wan Kenobi helmet from the Clone Wars figure. Sadly, the actual helmet wasn't used in the movie, so I may change it eventually to copy either Commander Cody (yellow) or Commander Fox (red). But, for now, my son is very happy with my results.

By no means was I going for screen-accurate, and I don't intend on doing much more to it other than the color. If I do eventually decide to go for a more accurate version, I'll go with SPC or SGB.

So...tell me what you think!

hehe...that's no decal...that's a hand-painted emblem. I took a close picture of the emblem on the figure and printed out a larger pic that I hand-traced onto the bucket. Then I painted it. Thanks for the kind words!

Just saw this...very cool. The Hasbro bucket has turned out to be such an incredible base for all these projects!

So...did you ever convert to a Cody or anyone else? Would love to see any pics.

Actually, yes I did. I completely forgot about this thread until tonight, so I'll show the pictures in quick series.

Here's what I ended with after my initial mod.




And here starts the mods into Cody.










The last few pictures are of the visor I'm trying to make specifically for the Hasbro helmet. I may offer copies in the future, but I need to get it done first.

That's it for now. I haven't worked much on it lately because it's actually been too cold here in Florida to do Bondo. But, I'll probably be getting back to it here in the near future.

Sooooooo, let me get this straight, Ive been toying with the idea of getting one of those and just well,...doing what you did, make the visor smaller to make it look more like the actuall deal, so basically Hasbro made life easyer and cheaper if you want a phase 1 helmet right ?.
Oh,do you think its possible to convert "that" to a "experimental Phase 2" helmet like Commander Colt from season 3 has it ?
