Hi all. I'm starting on an RC suit for myself. A friend has also taken an interest into costuming. She loves the Ep2 Clones and was wondering if a hasbro bucket could be mod-ed/crafted/made into a reputable looking, movie-accurate helmet. Advice please? Anything would be welcome: personal opinions, guides from anyone who has already done it, cheaper substitues, etc.

yes, I think you can get a nice helmet BUT you will have to spend some hours working on it!

Yup, agree with that, but STG did a mold out of it several times to achieve this result.
The first one is probably easier to achieve (meaning you will wear a original modded helmet), but will be heavier and still not as good looking as a ready fan made kit.
Maybe you could try pepakura thing ? Might work if you want it cheap, but still probably won't be 100% accurate.
