Thanks again, guys. Its slowly coming along. I just finished the mold to make multiple copies of the visor buck, and hopefully, i will be pulling the amber visors on Tuesday if all goes well. I'll show pics.

It is Plastipaste. Its actually their new formula. It mixes at 1 part A to 2 parts B so its a bit easier to mix. It also has no smell, but i would still wear a respirator when using it.

Well, i went ahead and made the multiple bucks to pull the lens in 1/8 inch amber plexiglass. In a nut shell.... EPIC FAIL!! Not even an industrial size vac machine could pull the plastic deep enough into the bucks. It was quite obvious that i had to go to a thinner plastic. 1/16 inch to be exact. The only problem is, no one makes 1/16 clear amber plastic. So, a good friend told me that he used to dye lexan with RIT dye. Long story short; I got the lenses pulled in lexan and dyed them orange and it worked! Its more work than i had planed but if a movie accurate helmet comes out of all this, it is worth it.

NERD SHOT!!!

These lenses are test pulls and are not perfect so the fit in the helmet is not that great yet. Next ones will be better.

Hey! Got more stuff done in the last few days. to be specific, the interior detail. The radio and cheek padding. I needed to build up the interior walls to mount the stuff onto. Here are pics of that..........
