Difference between armor of clones

Are there any differences in the armor design between the basic clone trooper armor in EPII to EPIII? Other than the paint/markings and Helmets.

Pretty much no real differences. In other words, there is no separate Phase 1 or Phase 2 clonetrooper kit that you would need to purchase for one or the other.

people asume theres no diffrences but the differences are there, phase 1 has much larger arm armor then phase 2 also the phase 1 has much larger shoulder bells that differ quite alot from phase 2,the chest piece is differently shaped in the lower part the phase 1 has a more straight line more edgy while the phase 2 has a more flowing curved line to it and the chest armor has a quite different sculpt to it when you look at it,theres a difference quite noticable on the belly protector that you can see if you look close enought in the pics

their boots are a little bit different and the phase 2 has differently shaped shin protectors then the phase one that alow a bit more movement to the knee armorand the knee armor is a bit more curved on the phase 2 then on phase 1.so sonclusion is there is a difference in the phase 1 and phase 2 armor, unfortunatly there are none of those differences in the available phase 1 and phase 2 armor kits that you can get currently even tho there should be.

Helpful post is helpful lol. Thank you Foxbatkllr

this is true but only when a post is truely helpful and explains all that is asked.

@72555 Taking these 2 pictures you provided as a reference- there are plenty of differences.
However they are both bit different from the actual "screen" ones (especially the phase 1...). It'd be best if you compared 2 pictures taken from the movie, otherwise it is just pointless.

Having said that- I agree with Foxbatkllr. You can argue about some little differences, but this doesn't change the fact that standard armor works fine for phase 1 and 2 with only different helmet.

72555, that picture of a phase 1 is a fanmade 3d model, not the real thing. That kind of throws your comparison out the window.

As an Admin and longtime member of the official 501st Clonetrooper detachment, as well as having built a full clone suit myself, I think I am qualified to speak on the differences between Phase 1 and Phase 2 armor. There are very, very minor differences. The differences are so minor that the best answer to a thread like this is to say that there are no real differences and that one suit of armor can work for both Phase 1 and Phase 2.

I have to agree with Foxbatkllr!
