DC-17 'toon blasters

Guys,
I'm looking for a set of plans or a tutorial for the DC-17 blaster pistols as shown in the CW 'toons, to scratchbuild....I tried the search function here, but nuttin'...I had heard that Alan (wizardofflight) had made a set of plans for the movie version (with all the attachments), but I like the look of the plain 'toon type pair that Fordo was using....any ideas where I could find something like that?

The ARC's blaster doesn't ahve attachments. Are talking about the commander's pistols or the RepCom's blaster as the on you don't like?

I'll confess I don't know all the different nomeclatures and variations of the **** things...here's what I'm lookin' for:

That looks pretty cool! Cartoon images are always hard to reproduce because of the animation

I personally like a combination of the two examples. The lower reciever on the images ghost have posted look good (trigger, trigger guard, handle), while the upper reciever on the one WhiteCommando posted looks a ton better. If you plan to make your own, I would go with a combination of the two examples.

Clear this up for me, fellas...my ARC-wannabe Mando son tells me these are NOT DC-17's, but DC-15(S)'s....what is the accurate term for these sidearms?

I made the prototype. I was going to make a batch, but interest was low. Thanks for the compliments though. As for AOTC lids, they are no longer in production by JM. And thanks PacoDeth. That photo is of an uncompleted gun. I planned on making the trigger guard to finish it up. We shall see.

The pistols in the above posts are also DC-17 (toon-styled).

There you go. Too many gun types with the DC-17 name in my opinion.

Thanks, WC...so, they are DC-17's, just 'toon-styled....I couldn't find a pic of a DC-15s anyway...and yeah, there's way too many 17-named types to keep up with...

Yes, I have templates. But save yourself the time (and money) and just buy a kit. It is hollow and comes with the 300 display transparency.

Devin, send me a PM with an e-mail, and I will reply with the plans. It will take you about 15-20 hours to complete. I did it in around 8-10... I have done prototypes many times, so I have an edge on speed.
