Clone vs Stormtrooper

Hello, im new around the site and I had a quick question. Is there a big difference between Clone armor and Stormtrooper armor?

Im looking to get some Clone armor and a friend of mine has already made a suit of Stormtrooper, so im just curious to know if there are any major differences.

Thank you in advance! :)

Also, if anyone has any tips for making clone armor, specifically Commander Fox or Ponds I would greatly appreciate any imput! :)

there isn't a single thing that's the same between them, other than that they are both white plastic.

detail wise, every part is radically different.

That about sums it up. PM me if you are interested in a TK outfit, though. I have an FX helmet and armor. Helmet has fans and speaker. I have also seen some a-MAZ-ing clone replicas. Those guys have done some great work.

As what has been stated above.

The Clone armor actually never existed. They are all CG.
The prop maker basically used, based on the existing drawings to create the best clone armor that represent the clone in the movie.

The stormtrooper is the opposite.

For more clone armors you may want to look here http://www.clonetroopers.net/

Good luck.

Clones take a heap of work to make, tks are a bit easier (so i was told AFTER i started my Arc trooper) both are pretty cool. I suggest you have a good look at what others have made and think about what is right for you. If you mate has a stormie, then maybe trooping with another stormie is better than a clone and a stormie.
have fun and good luck deciding..

A TK verses a clone is like comparing apples and spagetti. Way, way different. A clone is a far more intensive build than not. The fastest I have ever assembled one was in two months. Also note that I have build 12 now for myself and squadmates. I cah have a TK troopable in about 2 days as long as I have all the parts. The trickiest thing to build is the helmet on a TK. The rest is pretty straight forward. I suggesst a stormtrooper for a first build. Get used to wearing plastic first. Then if you want you can always get a clone too.

Thanks to everyone for their imput.
Point well taken Utopia...

Anyways, I have always been a huge clone fan and could never see myself wearing any armor but clone commander armor.

Just to add emphasis, any helpful information about acquiring/building clone armor is greatly appreciated!

Go to CN.net and clone-empire and read all posts about armor buildings. Then you'll must be ready for buying your first armor kit. Depending on how much you want to spend in your costume you have different options. The main rule is avoid e-bay unless you know that the armor or bucket doesn't come from a recaster (like StarFortress).
