Chewbacca (National Fiber Technology fur build)

My most recent Chewie build, this time without the agony of latch hooking....but with the use of NFTs wonderful fur fabrics!

Started life as a duct tape mannequin of myself!

A pattern was cut from cheap polyester fabric!

Then the fur was cut and sewn!

Already have moulds for the mask and underskull, loose NFT hair was used for punching!

This is one of the best Chewbacca suits I've seen so far and the face is perfect! Congratulation! You did a great job!

Dougie, is this version cheaper than the one with the puppet hairs?

Unfortunately what you save on time...you certainly pay for with these fabrics. It is on average $40 a SQ Ft and you need approx 35 to 40 SQ Ft per wookiee.
Thats just the fur alone!

Wow, you've really taken this Wookie making to the next level. That NFT hair is just unbeatable. No matter how much you try blending the 'other stuff' it just won't match the NFT standard. This is also because there is gradient of colour along the length of the hair.
You've totally nailed that Chewie, best one I've ever seen....by far!!

Outstanding work, bud! That's one of the best Cheque suits I've seen. Most others don't get the face right, but yours is really good.
