The beginnings of some CT boots

So this is the base for my clone boots. I definitely think this will work well.

I like those. There Isnt a whole lot of bumpy parts near the bottom
of the sole -the part that will show even after the majority of the
shoe is covered in vinyl. One thing I hate about most base shoes is
the squareness of the toe profile. It makes it really hard to do the
flared out curved toe cap piece. The lines of the toe cap end up
much more squared than the CG. The velcro band at the top may
be too bulky where the shoe meets the calf armor -were you planning
on cutting that away anyways? Good luck with the shoe build.

Ok here we go Step one the gross vinyl covering

Step 2 the metatarsal guard.....soon to do the stirrup strap to bring it all home

I'm keep the ankle strap up top just as a boot closure. I haven't built my armor yet having just got it in yesterday so I'll adjust the calf/ankle flare when I do it. I can always cut it away if I need to later.

Used Goop to attach the vinyl to the shoes, CA to attach the disks to the cross straps and some judicious placement of rivets.

Thanks. I'm getting ready to glue some animated-style shoes.

Great progress so far mate. What really makes them 'pop' is when you make em' dirty.
