Hello all. I've been here a couple of weeks but this is my first thread.
After getting inspiration from t_bone and Skip I decided to have a go for myself, any comments, (good or bad, as long as it's constructive) always appreciated :D

looking good so far!
one of these days i'll try this paper thing. it looks like fun :)
Looks good so far....
The basic shape is incorrect. The side on looks ok, but front on the shape is too top heavy, it looks almost like a light bulb, they are supposed to have more weight in the shoulders. If you can fix that, you might be onto a winner.Quote:

See what I mean?
Well it is still a WIP, but thanks for the advice :)
Looks great bro!!!!!
The card build looks good mate, are you fibreglassing the outside though?
Looks great so far. I FG'd the out side of mine too. Just for that exra little .001mm of room for my big ol noggin.:lol The only areas on the inside that got FG were the face portion below the eyes (for thickness) and the part the goes over the shoulders (for extra strength). I actually peeled off a fair amount of the original paper model toward the end.
Yep, fibreglassing the outside for the same reason as t_bone, big head! :) To be honest, it never occured to me to do the inside
Generally it's the inside that gets FG'd but there's no right or wrong way to do that really.
I have a question how do you do the paper thing I've seen it a couple time. Do you need some expensive computer program?
Thanks.
No, you dont need to spend any money to print out the files. You can get a pepakura viewer here http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-e...ad/viewer.html for free. If you are interested in the Royal guard template you can buy it from Skip aka Skupilkinson. He makes awesome templates! If you want to design your own templates then I believe it costs some money to buy that program.
I disagree with nzjedi. I think his pics are a little bottom heavy aka I think yours is perfect :thumbsup
real coool
How did this go, did you ever finish the pep guard bucket? how does it look, did it turn out accurate?
I wanna start one .
cheers
I know the post is 2years old, but WOW... I really need to get into the pepakura action. There is a lot of nice work being done.
