Another CC Bly Version

Hi,

The white armor you are seeing above is starting to become a 327th Clone Comander Bly armor.

I've been assembling and painting it (together with some help), since august last year, not constantly but every now and then when there was time to work on it.

It's like working on a hotrod, I guess you guys know what I mean.

As I'm taking it slowly at the moment, just finishing the basic white layers (there are already three thin layers of paint on this armor, grey and two layers of white)

I chose grey for the first layer, because I used the kotobukya statue as a number 1 working reference , but the yellow colors will be as much as screen accurate as possible as the koto-colors tend to look a bit different.

Here's the armor in grey ground colors, also to get more depth in battledamage, when the armor gets scratched during troops.

The kama also has been made, here are the first impressions.

I chose for a battered kama, because to me, it yells more roughness as Bly operates in jungle-like/swamp-like environments.

Excuse me for the poor quality of pictures, they've been made in hurry with a cell-phone, when the project's done expect loads of good pictures :).

The compad on my right-forarm, a rubber compad (Steelblitz) which I got from a fellow garrison member and intigrated it by cutting out the shape out of the forarm ,i like it better this way.

The Helmet I use is a limited edition MR clone helmet customized with a neckring glued in with fyberglass glue.

The binoculars , holsters, pistols and ammo cells are courtasy of Evo3 (andy).

Here's the first picture of the color paint job for Bly,

In comparison to the official photo you can see that the leg stripe isn't exactly centered on the upperleg line.

Hi Ralf,

For the color on the belt we used revell enamel paint (number 16), the belt buckle is done with a gunmetal color spray-can.

To glue the boxes we used magnumbond + activator.

I'm here to help aswell ;)

Today we finished the armor up to the abdomen (final weathering will happen after the whole armor is painted) tomorrow I will shoot some more pictures after the chest stripe is done.

Because the boxes show some grey areas (grey dirt), we used some grey aswell, to us it gives the belt more depth, maybe it looks a bit overdone in the picture....but the final decision will be made after the whole armor is ready for final dusting.

Here is a picture also from the sunday testfit, not to revealing I guess...

the upperleg is turned to the side as i'm not wearing the harnass, it's only to compare the colors (to see if the right colors were used)

Awesome job mate, primered mine up today, going to get the matt white and caterpilla yellow tomorrow, but im stuck on the mushroom type colour. How would you describe it mate?

It has been done with revell enamel model paint (the 14 ml version)

The numbers used:

number 16 for the lighter color (sand color)
number 88 for the darker color

We used dark grey to give it that dusty feel to it.

By the way thanks everyone for the nice comments, we're almost finished with the helmet just have to add the mohawk colors.

We decided to use the unfinished compad aswell and it has been painted on the left forearm, ( also seen in the movie).
