Blown away Gino! Totally blown away!
geez! i cant believe how natural the poses are you sure you're not in the suit? no man that is awesome work how long did that take you?
I've been working on some version of Vader costume since 1993.
See this thread for more details:
Here's a new ANH Vader shot.
Hot, hot, hot!
Looks awesome, as always!
ANH Vader is incredible Gino... I think that the look of ANH Vader is THE Iconic Darth Vader. (Although ESB was a b@d@$$ in the movie) I think it was the ANH Vader that scared me as a kid when I first saw Star Wars. Anyway... Great Job!
I did a poll on the RPF to see which version of Vader they preferred, ANH or ESB, and the results were almost dead even.
Maybe one day I will be able to afford to do something as awsome! well done
I love your ESB Vader! I want to start working on a vader costume and I did some research. I think I will go with an SPFX helmet. I noticed a seller on ebay selling the belt and chest box and claims to be movie accurate. If you don't mind, I would like to use the vendors which you purchased from. If you don't mind sharing that info, you can send me a pm. I welcome any guidance you can provide for my vader project.
Hi Victor and thanks.
I did not buy from any vendor.
Unfortunately I don't offer Vader items for sale.
PS, SPFX is a known recaster so buyer beware.
I didn't know that SPFX is a known recaster. I don't want to support a recaster, I know how hard guys work on their stuff.
most impressive vader wow
Very nice work!
The "hands on the hips" ANH shot reminds me of some of the early promo pics from the early days. It PERFECTLY captures the specifically cruel feel that I think Vader only had in the first film.
Those are both fantastic suits.
Awesome work Gino, definatly the best Vader's i have seen!
but seriously, nice work. I especially like the pose in the 6th picture down in your original post. You really nailed that "You have Failed me for the last time!" look! Congats, and nice photoshopping!
WOW Are you sure not Darth Vader that has to be the best I have ever seen. Impressive! Great job..... Some Day I need to buld one maybe get you to do it, I am not that Good.
Can't say I've been looking at costumes long, but if I don't think I could tell the difference between your's and the real thing. Simply fantastic work.
Amazing job.Did you make the darth vader mask via pepakura?if yes can you please share with me the right scale dimension for the helmet so that an average adult person can wear it.Thanks in advance!!
Gino, the photoshop backdrops look very good indeed... how did you manage to drop you Vader in so seamlessly?
Think the ESB Vader "father/luke" pose is simply awesome.... way too realistic... , saying the obvious... impressive... most... impressive..
Thanks! Most of the backdrops are real except for the obvious ones.
Here's a couple from a long time ago that I never posted here.
I think I would love to see a behind the scenes walkthrough of how you set up your posable armatures/mannequins if you ever have the time to share such a thing. Besides the outstanding detail and accuracy in these costumes, the posing of the figures is what makes these truly come to life as replicas par excellence.
