Modern Day: B-1B Lancer

Excellent taste in planes. The P-51D is also my favorite. I also like the B-17 but Im not sure if its my favorite. I've seen the B-29 Superfortress and thats one nasty aircraft... Liberators I like too but I'd have to fly in all these to really make up my mind.

And now for something completely different... Boba Fett?

Boba Fett?

Where?

TK7602, I don't know if you've been told this, but you look alot like Lucian from Underworld. You should do that costume! It would be pretty easy, since if I remember he just wears some regular clothes with a long overcoat.

Well, my name is Chris. I'm making a custom Mandalorian costume right now, and will be making an ESB Fett afterwards. I'd also like to put together a biker scout at some point. That's pretty much it, since I'm not a very exciting person. :p

so... me...
hmm....
Well, my real name is Kim and I will turn 25 next week at SDCC! :D
Been married for 4+ years to a wonderful man (who isnt into SW costuming, but I love him anyhow).

I have one completed costume (dark jedi) and one mostly complete mando... I also just completed a brand new lightsaber...

Generally I am a graphic designer... sometimes I am a teacher... most of the time I am out of my damn mind...

Didn´t know, this thread exists, so ... heres my entry !!

My real name is Peter, am 31 and live in Austria ( ya know, that little county in europe with Vienna, Mozart, and other stuff like that :) )
I work fulltime as carpenter and live together with my girl and two cats ( Chewie and Skippy ) in my own appartment.
My first contact with Star Wars, was around the time ESB hit theatres over here. I went nuts when I saw that "giant iron camels" stopping the rebels into the snow and am hooked since that.
I had most of the vintage toys back than but at some point they got uninterresting and I traded them for a full set of vintage MOTU stuff, wich I later sold pretty cheap :p

Anyway my interrest in SW grew stronger again, with the release of Zahn´s trilogy. I now collect modern 3,3/4 toys since the very first "Muscle Luke", collect the US Dark Horse comicbooks since their start with "Dark Empire" and last I also collect the scaled MR pieces since the full sized ones are a little out of my budget.

Other hobbies include drawing, PC gaming and horseriding. Since over a year I am also staffmember and forummod at

I tried to create a Fett suit a few times but always failed. Just about a year ago, I discovered the TDH and am working on one again now, and this time I made it. I think my suit will be finished around march 07, I guess.

Don´t know what I will do when I am finished, maybe try to fulfiullmy next childhood dream. Try to get a DeLorean DMC-12.

Photos will follow later

I know I had done this before... I think! :)

My name's Chris. I'm 32 and live in the SF Bay Area. Currently working on ESB Fett. Almost done there... at least acquiring the parts. Just a few things left to get.

Fett marks my 5th costume. The others I currently have are:
Jedi Knight (character name of Nas-Ric Tenretni)
Biker Scout
TIE Pilot
Imperial Officer

I just finished a new belt for my Jedi Knight costume. And the hilt I have was made by a friend of mine out of lamp parts.

The Jawa costume is me, back in 1981 :)

Kim! Get that man into a costume! STAT!

Hi folks...I'm JoNich aka BigJon aka Jon Nichols. I work for a large salad dressing company that makes dressings not only in retail bottles, but also in large foodservice quantities for many restraunts you all eat at (so that means don't piss me off! :p  just kidding). I am a Sci-Fi fan and was totally into Star Trek during the TNG , DS9, and Voyager age. I only recently got into costuming when I decided to make a Jedi costume for Halloween. I then found out about the "costuming world" and all you freaks....and decided to join in! (y)

I'm currently working on a custom Mando during my free time away from my wife of 3 yrs and two kids (3 and 1). Some pics:

Hi all,

My name is Ben, I'm 30 years old and live in Australia. I'm married to my beautiful wife Elise and we just brought a beautiful baby girl named Shaye into the world.

My dad's a fighter pilot and instructor in the Australian Air Force so I was lucky enough to travel around the world following his career as a kid. He also freelances as a warbird and jet pilot and occasionally he takes me flying with him.

My hobbies are surfing, snowboarding and riding dirtbikes but recently I came off a big jump on my dirtbike and spent two months in hospital. Now I'm getting presure to sell the dirtbike.

I work full time as a Web Developer for the Association of Surfing Professionals and I do a lot of freelance stuff on the side, mainly through word of mouth.

I've been into Star Wars as long as I can remember, and I often daydream that something similar is taking place elsewhere in the universe. I've recently completed a Stormtrooper suit and am now piecing together an ESB Boba Fett outfit.

That's about it, back to researching Boba 8)

Oh and if you want to see more pics of the L-39 jet I'm flying in, you can have a look at www.myspace.com/fleshbeany

Well, I've sorta been lurking around the site for a month or two....

Name's Hans. Yes, I get Han Solo quite a bit, but not as much now as I used to. I'll be turning 16 on tax day, and I live in beautiful Wisconsin.

I gained an interest in Star Wars when the released them in theaters in the 90s, and my dad dragged me to the theater to expose me to the glory. For Christmas in '97, I got the Star Wars Monopoly game, and I must say, I've not played the regular Monopoly, or any other in that case, since. I'm always Boba, and I think he has some sort of curse, as I average about 3-4 jailings per game. Haha!

Well, I don't possess any pieces for a Boba costume, as I'm sorta low on cash. I haven't worked since August, and I need to save up, as I've had my eye on a Jeep Wrangler... Sometime in the future though, I aim to make an ESB Fett, as I've always preferred the color scheme over ROTJ. But we'll see how that turns out...

Please allow me to introduce myself - I'm a man of wealth and taste.
Been around for a long long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith...

Errr....

Or not (especially the "wealth" part).

'allo all.
I'm GrendelPrimeReborn.
Formerly known as GrendelPrime before my ID expired on the board.
I've been around here off and on about 2 - maybe 3 years now as a lurker and semi-lame contributor.

Most people know me as Vance - though technically that's not my first name but my last name. Its just kinda "stuck" since high school.

I'm 36 but told I look about 28 at the most. I take that as a compliment. Especially since I'm one of the former "portly" mandalorian types - now shed close to 65lbs by my recon'nin.

Lets see - I'm a Client Deliver Manager for a DBA firm in Denver - though don't ask me what I ACTUALLY do - its more or less "keep the client happy" sort of interaction - minus the actual DBA work. I've got a long historical background in IT - mostly project management and systems administrator stuff - with a touch of help desk, tech writer, web site designer, etc, etc, etc.

Ummm - originally from Omaha - but I escaped that ghulag long ago.

Ummm... I'm usually behind the camera - photography is one of my special hobbies/side gig things I like to do (too often for free) - specializing in basically two things: The art of the female form - and motorcycles (particularly racing). Therein I obviously also love motorcycles and motorcycle racing and feel just a little less than complete when I don't have two wheels in the garage secretly calling my name to come ride her like the ex wife is taking her (which happens to be why I don't have a bike at the moment). I love playing airsoft and occassionally paintball. Online computer gaming like Soldier of Fortune II.

And then there is the obvious craving for all thing Mandalorian.

I wish I had a picture of myself but the only one I got is 50lbs ago - so - I won't be sharing that one any time soon! :D

Greetings... I'll follow suit and introduce myself before I start posting in other areas, lol

I am Ishmael Josiah McNamara. I was born in 1980 in Oklahoma, I'm married, with two children. My passions include Star Wars and the SCA. As a Jedi, I am known as Master Kyp Durron.

I've always wanted to create a custom set of Mandalorian Armor, mixing real-world functionality with the classic Mandalorian look... yes, you might say geek... lol. I took the name "Ordo Te'skotah" for my Mando'ade name(for some reason when I registered it didn't get the full last name). Ordo for both the Clone who set himself apart and took the name, and for Canderous Ordo from the KotOR games. Te'skotah in honor of Norse "descriptive" names... Te'skotah translates to "The short", which I am not.

Another of my projects is to create a real-life version of Pazaak, and my never-ending truck project, the 'Phoenix':

It is time for me to start working on my custom armor... and so I thought I'd join the best place for that ambition. :cheers

Hi all

well, my name is Ruben and I am born in 1991 and I live in the Netherlands,

I'm interested in Star Wars for 5 years now, I decided to make a Boba Fett suit (ESB) when I was 14.
And when I started I thought: wow costuming kick ***.

Now 1 year later am I still busy with it because of the slow progress (I'm poor;) )

I have been lurking for quite some time and actually posting for a little while...

My name is Chris, Formerly in the US Army. Currently I am a materials engineering consultant.

Got two kids, very young still at this point.

I don't currently have any real presentable costumes, so I plan to rectify that.

I am an aspiring film maker, written a couple interesting screenplays. Always have been a huge scifi fan, and fantasy is a close second.

I am a voracious reader, it makes moving a very painful proposition, I don't want to move those books again. I do a fair amount of writting other than screenplay stuff too.

I am also an amateur artisan-blacksmith and armorsmith. Plaster, clay, wood, metal, or plastic, doesn't matter to me, I like to work with them all. Copper is my favorite metal for many reasons.

Old cars and old british bikes.

Japanese swordsmanship is something else that takes a lot of my time. Iai-do, Naginata, and Kendo.

That's it for now. Kind of a bad time to post much of anything since a good many people are CIV'ing today and the next couple days.

-x

Aha! I did'nt notice this thread until just now. Well here goes-

My name is Barry, I'm from Glasgow, Scotland. I'm 25 no kids, and I spend most of my time between Glasgow and London with my girlfriend.

Professionally I'm a modelmaker but I did just quit the worst office job I ever had.

I've been lurking on the forum for about a year before taking the plunge, so I am a veteran of the Clam wars lol.

I am also a member of Omega wing, the RPF, Jolly Rogers Sqadron, Club Obi-Wan, and the fedora lounge.

I used to work for a major UK model company as a concept artist and painter, that's what got me into TDH at first, the detail in this costume compared to other SW costumes.

Here's a quick pic, me and the girl at halloween -

Gosh, we have one of these threads? Hmmm I should have looked on the second page, eh?

Greetings even though I have been here for like a week, some of you I suppose may have seen me lurking about.

I'm Pam Maz ... but I'm more commonly known on the net as Zammap. I'm at a rather young age of 17 though I have my share of knowlegde of the world. I also live in NYC.

I have been cosplaying for a while now. I've recently magnified my interest in Star Wars and found this wonderful community of Mandos (for a Mando I wanna be ^_^) And oh what a comfortable little home I've found. I rather like this forum, great people, great costumes, great fun.

I plan to go to a film school (if ever I can get the money!) and is currently attending an art high school... some may be familiar of the school from the movie Fame. I'm trying to start off with some comics got me a good one yp my sleeve but oh that company still has not responded to my request. Time is all I got for now. I do have a portfolio viewing by the Society of Illustrators soon, see what they say.

Oh dear, I'm ranting on.

Just here, links for those who care:

Hey again guys. My name is Blaine. and I'm 22 years old and living in Shallotte, NC...about halfway between Myrtle Beach, SC and Wilmington, NC. I posted once or twice under the name mandalorian_commando about 2 years ago, and promptly forgot I joined. I've since joined the ranks of the 501st as a sand trooper, joined my local police department (yeah, I'm a cop), and re-registered with this name. Go me. lol

I'm currently putting together a suit of Jaster Mereel armor, and have purchased one of Sarge's mystery helmets and a full set of wickedbeard's metal Jango armor. I'll post pictures as often as I can remember to.

Cheers!

Well my name is John Michael, I live in San Antonio Texas, I have liked Star Wars since I could remember and love costuming. My first costume was a bikerscout which I retired to start the fett. Some know me as 99centtaco, how it started?? Uhh I was thinking of a unqiue name for my member name while playing laser tag, and it seemed to make people laugh and made me hungry. So it stuck. I have my beautiful girl Jessica, who is starting to want to do the whole costuming thing, (tiring to get her to do slave leia..well see). But anyhow thats me.
