Well I guess while the thread was re-kindled I might as well,
I'm Liz (or Elizabeth, what ever fits) a sudent currently living in Middle-ish Wisconsin with a couple beardies, two border collies and a kitty. Several fandoms practicly own my life and bank account, Star Wars, Halo, Aliens/Predators, and Todd Mcfarlane productions, to name a few.
Hobbies besides drawing and costuming usually involve something that contains unnecessary gore, goes fast or glows... Like video gaming, comics, anime, atving, raving and snowboarding.
I was first inspired to get into costuming while attending Celebration I, when I was floored by a group of awesome snowtroopers. Though it wasn't until much later I'd get the chance to start making my own duds. I'm currently now working on my custom mando and a few other costumes.

Voltaire here, James is the real name. I have been a Star Wars fan (mommy calls it Star Bores) since I was 7 in 77'. I was a singer in my own Depeche type synth band in the 80's, and I opened up for A Flock of Seagulls twice, once at the Ventura theatre and once at The Strand in Redondo (15mins of fame I guess!!) I run and operate RE/MAX here in Santa Barbara and I have been in this line of business since 1992 with the same parent corporation. I have been involved with many Boards and civic non-profits here in Santa Barbara for many years. I got sucked into costuming when I made a last minute decision to fly to Indy for CIII last year. I HAVE BEEN HOOKED EVER SINCE BROTHA'S and SISTA'S! I am currently wrapping up a non-canon snowclone project, working on a screen accurate Commander Bacara, writing a treatment for a fanfilm short involving clones and getting ramped up to do a Pre-Pro Fett II!!! I will busy for the next few years!:cheers

Name's Jay, I'm a commercial electrician in and around Dallas, Texas...but people usually say "ooohhh..." all weird when I tell them I'm an electrician, so I tell them I'm a set carpenter for Spongebob Squarepants. Takes them a minute.
I'm a huge fan of Star Wars since I saw A New Hope in 77 at the age of five. Also a pretty big SG-1 fan, BSG too.
I play guitar, bass, and drums (mostly bass), write lousy songs and date for fun. Any single geeker girls in the Dallas area...PM me. hahahhahaha
Up until my liver had some problems a year and a half ago, i was an avid hockey goalie. Hockey takes up a lot of time and money, so I had to have someplace to put my surplus of both...enter SW costuming. I've easily spent all the money I got from the sale of my gear on costuming and prop stuff, and will spend more and more as time goes on. I resisted my inner geek for the longest time, and now that I've let him out, he's kind of taken over.
I am working on a Baron Fel for 501st membership, even tho nobody in Star Garrison can tell me if it will be accepted once it's done...I get the runaround. Also almost done with my custom Mandalorian and am debating starting a Holiday Special Fett. I love to be different.

Hi i'm Jon Curtis. I live in Norfolk in the UK with my lovely wife, Kathy (long suffering Fett hater ), and three children and I am 36 years old. I work as a civil engineer, and serve part time in the Territorial Army.

I have been smitten with the Starwars bug ever since i saw that first Star Destroyer back in 1977. Whilst i am not working on my Fett costume, i enjoy getting out onto the mountains (quite difficult living in Norfolk), so I try to get over to Wales and Scotland as often as possible.

Callista - where abouts in Norfolk do you come from? I have the dubious privilege of living in Norwich (not such a bad place really)

neat... an introductions thread.

i'm brian, 30 year old geek from the boston area. i've been married for 7 years, and have 4 furry, 4-legged kids (2 rabbits and 2 cats).

i don't even remember this, but my mom brought me to see star wars when it first came out. i was 1 year old, but apparently it stuck. from the time i saw ESB i loved boba fett, though i confess that at the time i didn't know his suit changed between movies!

i was introduced to the 501st at an event held at a night club i used to go to regularly. my wife was talking with the vader there about me, and how i'd love to do a fett costume.

fast forward a bit and i joined the legion with a tusken raider, since fett was just too pricey. i then added a stormtrooper, imperial gunner, royal guard and biker scout to the list.

then sold most of that to finance boba.

when not obsessing over just the right shade of yellow, i'm a sysadmin for a medical practice management / billing company, and spend a lot of my free time doing home improvement projects (this weekend i'm rewiring my second floor!

i don't really have much in the way of recent "buckets off" pictures of me...

Glad to see somebody dug up this introductions thread ... never saw it when I joined. But anyway, I'm Scott Chana, 23 years old, single, and enlisted in the 501st Legion Dune Sea Garrison as SL/BH/TD/IG-8759. Some people know me better as the Aviator Vader. I live in the northern suburbs of Phoenix, Arizona ... and yes, it is VERY hot down here in the summertime!

Star Wars and Star Wars costuming practically rule my socail life. I probably really got into Star Wars after the release of TPM, and got into costuming after the release of ROTS. I have 5 costumes:
Darth Vader
Boba Fett
Jango Fett
Sandtrooper
Death Star Gunner

Outside of Star Wars, I fly airplanes!!!!!!

Yeah, I'm not called "Avaitor Vader" for nothin'!lol: I absolutely love aviation and aerodynamics! I currently am a commercial pilot, and I'm looking be an airline pilot sometime in the future.

Well, I've been here for a while but don't recall formally introducing myself.

My name is Jim, I'm 22, I live in a town outside of Cleveland, OH. I'm single, and Obviously I'm into star wars. As far as costuming goes, I have a Scout and Boba Fett in the Ohio 501st.

I'm more commonly known for my "misadventures of Satxer". To more or less explain it, I tend to do crazy things in armor,

Anywho, I've been in the garrison for over a year now, and ever since having a ball. Outside of this costuming, I work at a dealership as a Parts Department Consultant.

For fun, I like sports, Videogames, Resident Evil, DDR, Action Movies, and hangin with friends.

As far as Future plans go, I want to become a pilot, and hopefully one day even move myself somehow to become a Astronaut. Funniest thing I hear from people when they hear me say what I have in mind for a career, they normally ask me about "aren't you worried about all the risks in those careers" Sure, they are really dangerous risks, but risks are all part of the game as they say. Really another thing is because I like the idea of adventuring, "they asked the man why he climbed the mountain, and he said because it was there". That's my career hopes, for now, no matter how far fetched they seem, I will still always have hope.

My name is Jon Sarrett, and I am 32 years old. I live in Hartville, Ohio (really close to Akron). I am an electronic engineer, and I work for a large induction heating company. My primary function is to travel the world (not as sexy as it may seem) repairing these power supplies. I love my job, and would never think of leaving. I have been married for 12 years to a wonderful woman! We have a 9 year old daughter, and a baby boy in the oven ))!! I fly RC airplanes, and fool with hot rods when I'm not tinkering with my costumes. I am waiting on 2 small parts to arrive, and my parts chasing will be complete for my Fett! I recently picked up a spec. ops. clone rig, and I am in the middle of some heavy modifications trying to get it ready for (insert whatever here). I used to go to the drive ins every weekend to catch SW on the big screen. I have been hooked ever since, and I will never look back! Here is my daughter and I.

Hey guys, My name is Elijah. I've been a Star Wars fan since I first saw Vader stride across the Tantive IV. I have been married to my wife (who doesn't costume yet) for 7 years. We are expecting our first child in November!!

I have been a collector since Kenner re-released the figs again back in 1995. In that time, I have put together a Darth Vader costume for the 501st as part of the Canadian Garrison. I LOVE the group! These guys are awesome!

I have posted recently on here about my brother with HIV. I am trying to put together an accurate ESB Boba Fett costume for him. So far, the members on this board have come forward with tremendous help in this project! I can't tell you how much that means to me fellas!

my first time seeing star wars was in '97 when it was rerealesed in theatre, my friend and i went to go see empire strikes back and walked out during the Hoth battle becuase we thought it was so boring, got our money back and spent the next two hours in the arcade playing some "save Aerosmith" shoting game....id kill to go back to that theatre and watch empire on the bg screen.. 2 weeks later my friend and i became the biggest star warts nuts in school... yea, good times.
