*Official* "Please introduce yourself" thread

Hello, hello. My name is TJ. I'm a 23 year old art major and I'm from South Texas.

I only saw all six Star Wars movies recently so I can't say I'm an expert like some people on here. But I loved the movies and am looking forward to getting into them more as time goes on! Boba Fett is my favorite character, so finding this site has been pretty wonderful. Been a lurker for a while but finally made an account.

I have two jobs, one in education, one in video games, I do art commissions on the side and help with some indie game marketing in my spare time as well as attending university. So I'm pretty busy. But I love finding projects to do when I have time in between all that.

I'm brand new to building anything prop-like so I'm looking forward to finding a lot of resources here!

Hey Jim in Ocala Florida here. Thinking about getting back into costuming and building a Jodo Kast. Just in the planning stages at the moment as I am in the middle of a Jeep build so won't be for a while till I get started.

Greetings from Denver! New to the forum. Here hoping to put together a top notch kit and something a little unique. First up, the helmet of course! Any advice is immensely appreciated!

Hi all, didn't realize this thread existed until just now...

I'm Lynus, 15 years old, and am currently working on my RotJ Fett. I am using the unorthodox method of making my armor by cutting a salvaged car bumper. My scratch built helmet is mostly done, and 3D-printing some of the parts has been very interesting!

Decided to stay a bold of armor, still trying to decide between custom or Boba Fett's armor, it'll technically be my second set, but the one I made in 8th grade was pretty awful. I've already gotten some great info and can't wait to start.

My name is Martin, i live in Sunderland. UK, Saw Star Wars in '77 at the ripe old age of 11, and never looked back, i've always liked making stuff, and halloween gives me the excuse to be a kid again, and thanks to top quality info on this site i'm on the way to being Boba Fett this year, this pic is my completely scratch built stormtrooper, just couldn't:D get the shins right

Hi everyone,

My names Adrian and I'm from Kent, England. I work as an engineer so some resources are plentiful and others have me scavenging.
I'm married and have 2 sons both are which are star wars nuts (Wonder where they got that), my wife just lets me get on with it :)

Due to shift work I end up with time on my hands so I thought I would use it productively

My latest success was for Jeremy Bullock to sign my 1981 slave vehicle , still got all the bits - such a geek - such happiness

Hello all, my name is James and I'm a member of the 501st. I currently have a TK and TI. I'm looking to build a Boba Fett. Not sure if I want to go ESB OR ROTJ. Any help locating armor, helmet, gauntlets and such would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone my name is Gari....46. Been a Star Wars fan since it first came out in the 70s. Married with 1 kid and another due in May. I've been a stormtrooper with 501st Neon City Garrison for over 10 years. Always wanted a Boba Fett but money was an issue. Not anymore so I'm trying to build slowly but surely.
As mentioned, I have live in Las Vegas since 1998. I am a drafter but I'll be changing careers soon (this summer) to a registered nurse. This place has tons of resources that my head is spinning.

So any tips on who to go to for parts would be greatly appreciated. I would like the ESB version but either one is good for me. Good to meet everyone!

Thanks

One of the first steps is going to be deciding which version you want to do because they have difference in the armor and helmet. Watch the cargo hold because armor comes up for sale semi frequently and a few people have continuous sale threads. Some sellers will do very limited runs of only a few items and they can be filled quickly so try to watch for those if your looking for a specific part. Good luck on your build!

Greetings fellow Star Wars types. I am a current member of the Rl (jedi) and am looking to add to my costume options. Not sure what I am going to get, just looking at options. I live in New Zealand in a little town called Masterton (over the hill from the capital, Wellington and down the road from where Peter Jackson has his house - not that we ever see him around).

Long time lurker but first time posting! Name is Jesse and I'm out of Minnesota.

I'm slowly working on ROTJ Fett. I've always loved the Fett but now that I'm engaged I really need to spend the money now before I'm actually married. Otherwise I'm never getting this Fett complete.

I have an old RS Propmaster ANH TK. I'm now assembling an Anovos TK and I have a 3rd project going where I acquired an AT-AT pilot from another 501st member but boy does it need a lot of work. I'm stuck between scrapping that and spending the time/money to fix it up.

I've always had a soft spot for Fett. When he does that slow nod to acknowledge Boushh's presence at jabba's palace?!? Ohh man.. it doesn't get any cooler than that! Looking forward to chatting with you folks as I continue my build. It feels like I'm just as new as the first time I started researching my first TK build!

Hello fellow grown up swerds. My name is Charlotte. I'm a current RL (Ceremonial Leia) and 501st (AOTC Concept Ventress) member. I'm in the middle of buying a complete ESB Boba (PayPal transfer was initiated, so hopefully I'll have it soon), and I'm totally geeked. I've been wanting a bucket costume for awhile now. It'll be nice to have a costume that doesn't require hair, bald caps, or body paint.

A fellow Great Lakes Garrison friend is going to help me learn about wearing and maintaining the costume (he wears a ROTJ Boba), and I'm looking forward to doing research here as well.

I really hope the pictures of the costume I bought were accurate. You never know with eBay. Especially when the ad is in Chinese.

Kidding! It's a legit costume. I'll start a thread when I get it to document the alterations I need to make. The guy I'm buying it from is two inches taller than me, and a bit heavier. I have long legs, so I think the pants will be fine, but the top may be too baggy. We shall see.

Looking forward to my adventures in bounty hunting. :)

Hey Guys,
i'm Valentin from Germany. I am currently building a Boba Fett ESB helmet from scratch based on wizardofflight's Templates.
Maybe i start a Thread about it, but i'm not sure at all :)!
I want to thank you all for your threads and knowledge! TDH feels like being a part of the Star Wars Universe....
Wish you all the best!
