New kid on the block

New Hunter
Hi everyone, my name is Aaron. I am 25 and I live in Bellingham, Wa. I have a background in automotive refinishing but I haven't practiced much in the last few years. I have recently started building replicas/props/etc, but I'm not new to the process involved.

I've been stalking the forums for a week now and I am really impressed.

I began over at the Instructable site and saw a video by BFX on Halo armor. So I decided to make my brother a Spatan Mjolnir helmet for christmas (will post pics if anyone is interested) based on the models at 405th. I learned alot and I may make another just to show I can do better than my first attempt. Upon discussing the project with a close friend we started talking about building Fett armor (he thought a rocket pack would be cool) and I found myself here.

Currently I am working on 'Skips' pepakura version of the Boba bucket. I have it fully assembled and I have started the resin process. This first bucket will be for the friend mentioned above and will be very basic (his birthday is at the end of January). I have added rare earth magnets for the up and down postion of the range finder so that it will 'lock' into place, but that will be the only modification to the model.

Anyway, just thought I would say hi so you might know who I am if I ask for tips.

Ok, here are the pics of my helmets

Master Chief Helmet: this is the lowest def. model they had, I will make the high def. model and it will be much better. In black base coat here, waiting for camo green and gold paint.

As I stated earlier I have some of these pieces in the resin process, will add more wip shots as I progress.
