TKOK
New Hunter
Good day, chaps!
I've been a lurker on the site for probably over a year (a deep interest in Mr. Fett). I've been a TK (TK-10315) in the 501st (Star Garrison, Oklahoma Squad) for about the last three years and never thought that I would branch out to add another Star Wars character, but after selling one of my three TK armors and a great couple of sales bonuses -- I was able to raise enough to buy my ESB Fett (or the equivalent of a down payment on a car ) and reach out to a guy that had the money, but not the patience or creativity to finish out the ESB Fett that he wanted to build.
From what I can tell, he had cobbled together his collection from some really great vendors (Man O War, Machinecraft Replicas, etc.), but didn't know how to tie it all together. I bought it back in May and I've been working on it for the last 30-days. I'm about 99.9% complete and should have the rest of it finished tonight, but thought it was time to introduce myself and post my work.
About Me:
Not much to tell -- My name is, Eric Richardson. I'm 44 years old, 2 great kids (19-year old son currently in college (Boomer Sooner) and 15-year old daughter) and I've been married to my beautiful wife for 20 years. I'm in Commercial Real Estate Information and Technology and love being creative, architecture, landscaping and the Caribbean. I saw Star Wars when I was 7 in 1977 and (like most of you) it changed my direction. I'm from Novato, California (lived about 10 minutes north of Lucas Valley and "The Ranch") and had a couple of friends that worked for Lucasfilm (way back when they were in a nondescript industrial business plaza buried deep in San Rafael)
Back in April, I was cast by Lucasfilm as one of the TK's in the All Nippon Airways (ANA) commercial that was shot in Big Bend National Park in Texas. This was announcing their R2-D2 plane and their new routes to Houston -- that's me on the far left
About My Fett:
As I mentioned above, my setup is a mashup of a number of vendors, but I haven't identified the maker of my bucket. It's fiberglass built, but there's no identifying marks. I know it's not 'dead on' accurate, but I love it. My Wookie scalps are a custom creation that I made from some really great yarn that I found at a "Michael's". Boots, gloves, jet pack vest, and 2 piece flight suit are MoW. I don't know who made my armor plates (I just bought a new cod and butt piece). I'm in the process of finishing the connectors for a couple of pieces, but overall I should be finished by tonight.
Things I'm Still Searching For:
I'm in the process of locating/purchasing include: Toe Spikes, Full Head Wrapped Balaclava, Larger Gloves (the MoW's that came with my purchase are too small), Wrist Darts for my Gauntlets
Pics:
Yard Sale
My Bucket: NOT accurate paint or sculpt -- for you purists
My EE-3 (Still under construction)
Very First Night: Tore it out of the box and threw it on my mannequin
On the ANA Commercial Shoot:
(with Rachel from Lucasfilm -- I'm on her right)
Still From Commercial (I'm on the left)
My 501st Trading Card: (back)
