Active Hunter
Hey everyone!

My name is Aaron from Victoria, BC. I'm a media arts teacher and photographer.

I finished a Rocketeer outfit for Halloween last year and now I'm going for a ROTJ Fett! Budget is here and there right now, but I'm hoping that with some careful planning I can get it all done for Halloween 2014 or at the latest, the opening of Episode VII.

We don't have many troops in the 501st out here. If I read correctly, I'm part of the Badlands Garrison which makes up all of British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan....with a total of 30 troops. So I'd like to be able to do my part, make a kick *** Fett, and support some local charities. I know when I'm at conventions or events and have seen Star Wars characters trooping around, it just lights me up...and I'm 30. So I can only imagine what it would do for kids.

Looking forward to posting a build thread when I start!

Cheers

Welcome Aaron! You're in the right place and your goal is very realistic! My advice is to get a lot of the "hard" parts ordered soon, as these are the parts that will take the longest to receive.

I myself am doing an SE, and its very similar to the ROTJ, so if you want you're welcome to PM me and I can make some parts recommendations as I have a list of everything I've used on my build this far.

Good luck with your build and welcome to TDH!

I second what jojd says, get the hard parts first, but I highly recommend some research on which armor will fit you the best. Depending on your size, height and frame type, that information will steer you toward which maker to look up.

I've already ordered all my hard parts from Fettpride. Pretty good deal for the armour, helmet and jetpack! Can't wait!

I saw a post from Fettenstein01 in the Cargo Hold for lots of soft parts from Toronto. He's in Canada, and I can have a friend ship it to me, but he isn't responding. Hope to hear from him soon!
