New Hunter
hi everyone, been lurking around here for awhile, just wanted to say hi! i am amazed at all the talent here, and look forward to utilizing this wonderful site! (y) i am sure i will have some bonehead questions, but a swift kick in the right direction would be of huge thanks! :cheers

also, was wanting to know suggestions on how to start my Fett...like, what item should i begin with...? does it really matter, or is there protocol to going about this...thanks

Welcome, Brother.

You are definitely in the right place for any and all things Fett. Ask all the questions you like, somebody will have an answer. Try the search feature as well. You may hear that a lot. As for where to begin, it really doesn't matter, as long as you begin :). A Fett can be an expensive undertaking. I depends on how much work you intend to do yourself.

thanks for the response! i appreciate the info :) ya, even though there are alot of talented people here, painting and such, i am going to be doing pretty much everything myself. as far as the painting is concerned, but as far as items, like armor, or rocket pack, or the wrist armor, who should i be getting in touch with?

By the way. I saw your post in my No More 'SE " thread. the photo in the first thread show all the vendors/members I got part and/or services from. Also there is a thread about "how much you can expect to pay" in one of the forums. sorry, I would post the link, but I cant seem to find it at the moment
.

thanks for the info, i have seen alot of your work, and all i can say is wow! your belts are amazing, so i will be coming for one soon. who does the armor and helmets here in the US? anyone of quality? i will go back and check that list, thanks. i have seen some stuff on ebay, but it just doesnt have the right shape. i am sure if i just use the search engine, i will find who is doing what. but booboo you are making it easy on me. (y)

Here is a few ideas for you.
  • fettpride #1 for helmets. Armor is very accurate/popular. Made in vacu-formed ABS
  • Bobamaker. Brilliant work. Fiberglass. Comes trimmed and primed. UK member/seller. A bit more expensive but worth it. Check out his web site.
  • wickedbeard. Metal armor and gauntlets. I went this way and have been very happy. I absolutely love my metal gantlets!
  • Man of War Studios. My preference for the Jet Pack but there are others. He has fantastic boots ( I have these too). Love them! He also does very nice ESB and ROTJ gauntlets.
  • I make Ammo Belts and a few other items.

Just a few ideas. Again check out the photo in the first thread of my No More "SE" thread. It's a good part list.

Cheers!

thanks for the info! i have heard great things from these vendors...so many choices, so little money lol

not sure about the vacuformed armor, kind of thin, yes? doesnt it break easily? i dont know, we'll do some more research, thanks for the warm welcome, boo boo fett :)

Hey Fettnasty! Welcome to the boards. Man of War studios has an ebay page. That is where you can get his jetpack and gauntlets. BooBoo is right. Wickedbeard does amazing stuff. I expect to get my Gauntlets today (if the postman comes). Once you get past your first 5 posts (which looks like you already have) check out the Cargo Hold forum. Keep checking it. You will see what everyone has to sell. I started out a few months ago and everyone here has been awsome to deal with. Just ask. Just search. Have fun!
