Jan 15, 2009, 2:58 AM - let's try this again
I have lurked around this site for a short while now and as I mentioned on another thread I am very pleased and impressed by the obsession of not only fett, but the entire Mandalore world. I feel at home!
After some 20 odd years I find myself in a position to finally restart my fett. Mainly thanks to what I've seen here. I've included some pics of the armor I'm working on. I got off of E-bay. It's not a bad kit for starters or if you like a challenge. There's a quite a bit needed to be done to meet the standards. Since I've never worked w/ sintra before I'm not sure if this is it or not.
Of all the questions that I have I'll start with the codpeice first. Any opinions on the buttons? Too big, too high, too narrow? Tell me what you think please.
As I progress I will post more pics for further critique.

is that cyanide72's armour by any chance?
nice denting on the ab/cod!
for the buttons - they look a bit short to me; but I am by no means a Fett expert.
you could donwload some of WOF plans for the cod, and size up the cod blocks up
oh, and welcome to TDH!!

Thank you for the compliments and the welcome. And yes it is Cyanide armor.

Here's a few more pics of my progress. I have discovered that I'm not a fan of the dremel in dishing out the dents. The spalder detail is a combo of both on the big mark, Using the dremel Thinned out the material. So it remains shallow.
Please continue with the critques. Thank you.

Being a bit obssesive, I tried working the detail again. I heated the plastic after dremeling it a bit. I'm pretty happy with it. I'll post the new pic later.

Well the armor is painted silver. I've also included a pic of the reworked spaulder, opinions?
And for kicks a pics of my first helm. Have a laugh at my expense.

I just wanted to say thanks for the info. It gave me somewhat of an idea of where to cut my helmet. I'm still trying to find something to cut it with, but I was wondering what you used to seal the holes in your helmet, and how good of a job you think it did. Looking for suggestions. Thanks

Actually I kinda left em open. I was hoping that the air holes would do just that release the heat and help in keeping the lens from fogging. If you're a modle builder you can use the parts trees, cut in rods, bunched together, glued in the holes, cut, putty filler, sand, viola. holes filled.
