knoxville femme "fettale" new to TDH

hello all, after much research online for the perfect website to learn from other fett fanatics, etc, on how to create, construct and perfect awesome armor and costume pieces i have made my way here, to TDH.
from everything i have read, this is such a great site to be a part of, everyone seems to be extremely helpful and very friendly, with AWESOME ideas! :)

i'd love to create my own fett costume, but of a female version, somthing that looks feminine, but fett-esque...i'm just wondering where a girl would start with such a project...i am on a somewhat limited budget (yes i have checked out the trash can armor thread, which is genius! :))...i have no experience working with sintra or wonderflex, so i am a little hesitant to try using them.

i'm 26 and have been a huge star wars fan since i first saw it when i was 6...and have alway been a fan of fett (lol, i even have a fett decal on the back of my truck).

enough of my rambling though, its a pleasure to meet you all, and i look forward to learning from/about everyone!

Welcome! There have been a number of great female Fett costume projects here. Don't be afraid to ask questions, and don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. Building a Mandolorian costume can be as complicated as you want to make it. Definitely you'll be either buying a lot of pieces or making them yourself. Check out these threads for some great projects:

thank you so much count dookie!!!! i'll be checking those pages out right now, and trust me, the last thing i am afraid of is getting my hands dirty (i am a far cry for the average girl, and used to work on diesel trucks :p)!

Welcome to the TDH! :cheers Good luck in your future endeavors! Count Dookie took the words right out of my mouth. Hydra's build up has got to be my favorite female mando so far! :love

Firespray-- yes!!! hydra's femm mando is AWESOME to say the least...i LOVE the concept she used of straying away from something streamlined to a typical boba/jango mando (not that there is anything wrong with that :) )....

more than likely i will lean more towards something like hydra came up with, or something like the pink mando...they're concepts are freakin amazing and stray from the ordinary (which i like)!!!

Corse not! Just saying we don't get very many...uh...heh....girls....around here. :lol:p;)

Seriously though, welcome! ;)

haha, trust me, i understand...i went to adventurecon yesterday and learned the lesson of "don't wear a cut off wifebeater and shorts" to such an event

thank you for the warm welcome, it is very much appreciated!!!

right now i'm working on a color scheme and things of that nature for my femme mando...im on the works of pamela mazurkevich webiste, which is rather helpful when trying to pull together color schemes...because as we all know, what may look awesome in your mind, may not always look that good on paper :p
