Hi from Northumberland UK!

Hi, I'm new here and found this site whilst researching my favourite stuff! I have been a fan since a 12 year old in 1977 and in the last few years my kids have grown up with the same interests!

This has pushed me on (not that I needed much of a push) to rig up a playroom for them with a Star Wars theme. We are planning a star ceiling complete with Death Star and spacecraft as well as numerous props and photographs which I have amassed over the years. I'm looking forward to getting my battle station fully operational!

I have worked offshore now for the last 8 years as an ROV pilot and when not flying around spend my spare time offshore finding more stuff to collect!

I look forward to reading more of what other people are doing and I'm always on the look out for new ideas!

Thanks eco. I have another piece of my battlestation nearly completed. I will post some photos when it's done. I too have an R2D2, one of those voice activated ones. He's resting in his box at the minute as we are ripping out all our carpets to put in wood flooring and then he can go "on patrol"!

Well, I was going to try and build an HIC but I saw one on e-bay that I couldn't resist! I got back from work yesterday and unwrapped it. A lovely piece of work and I just have to get the building work done on the room now to put all my stuff in!
