Hi everyone!

New Hunter
Hello everyone. I'm Aidyn (actually my name is Andrew). I am planning on making a Daft Punk helmet in the future and through my research on different processes for doing so I have come across some great communities built around different kind of cosplay/armor building. Since I am also a big Star Wars fan and especially a Boba Fett fan I decided to join up here in hopes that I can pick up more on the process of making such things. I have constantly been suprised and amazed by the great things you guys make.

I'm a visual communication design major at The Ohio State University and I love art. My second love would probably music. I mostly listen to indie bands, a little electronic, and some old punk rock and I also play guitar, piano, clarinet, and banjo.

I am hoping to pick up some costume building skills and learn and get involved in a new hobby. Another new hobby I am currently working on is dealing with electronics and using an Arduino development board for various projects which usually involve LEDs. For example I recently created a lighting unit on my desk which creates ambient lighting based on the music playing. Louder faster music is more flashing and hot colors while more relaxed music lights up cooler colors and more smooth fading.

So in building a Daft Punk helmet I guess I would like to combine these two hobbies in a way.

Well, that is WAY enough about me! I ramble sometimes. Anyways, glad I found this community and I can't wait to dive in!

Both. I'll probably do the Thomas helmet first because the Guy-Manuel (gold helmet) is the one I want to wear for Halloween and spend the most time (and money probably) on. Here is the look I am aiming for...

With some LED effects in the helmet and LEDs spelling out the Daft Punk logo on the back of the jacket.

If there's one helmet that's gonna maybe be the next coolest design next to ole Boba's...then maybe the Daft Punk would be a contender....good luck!
