Hello from Western Australia

Sintel

New Hunter
Hi everyone my name is Clint aka "Sintel" I am new to the whole costume thing and have decided to jump in on the deep end and do a Grail item straight away namely a Boba Fett lid done to ESB screen accurate paint up. Yes I know its not for the faint of heart and I do have my eyes wide open for it. The dented helmet community is a fantastic group for all things fett and I have been reading posts like a mad professor researching the secrets of time travel. I have already grabbed Rafelfetts templates and have watched the youtube paint up video on how to achieve the layer affect for the damaged areas and also have the paint by numbers list for the humbrol paints. The lid I chose was animefans budget kit as the Aussie dollar has weakened and this is my first effort but if all goes well I will do another lid in ROTJ colors as well I might even do a prototype fett just for kicks as I think its cool and even do a full costume of the prototype depending on how I go. I will be doing a thread of my lid so keep an eye out for it and let me know what you think and any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks and looking forward to hearing from fellow Fett heads.

Clint

Welcome to the wonderful world of Fett, Clint. I'm over here on the other side of the country in Queensland and I'm tackling a ROTJ Boba. Like you I'm new to this whole costume creation game - we've certainly picked one of the hardest costumes to do for a first build! However, the research is interesting and trying to recreate the details of Fett's gear is a rewarding challenge. All the best with your build and I look forward to seeing pictures when you have them.
