Hello from Switzerland

Hello Everybody!

As you of course have remarked, I am new to this forums. I'd like to say hello and thank they guys responsible for all the templates in advance.

As for me, I'm willing to build my own Mando helmet (and the rest of the costume, sometime^^). I have not yet decided between Jango, Boba or Custum. Because I am a Newbie at Props making, I suppose I'll have a hard time doing the paint job on a Boba Costume. That's why I was tending rather to a Jango. Unfortunately, I like the Colors of a Boba a lot more than Jango's, so here I encounter a difficulty.

What would you guys suggest? Would it be appropriate to do a nearly undamaged Boba Costume? I mean, there's no way mine is gonna look like the screen-used, so... Even his armor must have been fresh anywhen. I would do the dent at least, so I'd be able to paint it like an ESB or ROTJ when my skills have improved (Topical of course).

Speaking of painting methods: What's easier for a beginner? Topical or layered?

I'd probably say that topical is better for a paint noob... the layered method requires allot of stages.
As for the 'Fresh from a Mando salon' look.. there have been a couple of threads about it, but with no real conclusion in that if thats what you wanna do knowing thaty it's non cannon then go for it?

Yes, I think you are right. I looked around the forums and saw a lot of detail photos. I think, I could do it. Still, it requieres a lot of time, and that's the thing I'm actually missing atm . But it'll definetly be possible to do it topically.
And after having seen all the nice weathered Boba Helmets, I don't wanna have a nice, fresh Look anyway .

So thanks a lot for your advice!
Just another question: Is it wise to do a RF with electronics from the beginning? Or is it easy to do it later? I just want to keep costs and input work at its minimum.
