Hello from the Midlands

Landslide

New Hunter
Morning all! Just thought I would say hello and try and get a bit more active since I use this resource all the time. Had a couple of goes at making a helmet but excitement mixed with great incompetance have always rendered half finished projects.
Anyway officially I am on Mk3 but I think its probably closer to Mk8. Enjoying myself but I think my wife is starting to get annoyed that I disappear to the shed every night for 3 hours

That's the progress so far and I may or may not have been liberal with guides and hot glue.
I tend to use a Hot Glue Gun like a Mig Welder rather than being sparing.
I will be working on the dome tonight and fixing on the skin a bit more permanently than it currently is (its just taped right now)

I am trying to get the bucket done and sort of painted for Sheffield Comic con. Will mix it with a suit for a half assed cosplay I think.

My goal is to make my own version of a heavy mando with some odd, thicker armour mods. I have some plans for some battlefield improvised weaponry as well but that might take a little longer

Hi from Bristol. Sounds like you have some good plans on the go. When you finish your bucket I suggest you fill it with roses for the wife. Personally I went for the angle of once I've cracked it I will make her one too and hopefully wear it at next years Star Wars Celebration. Can't tell if she's happy about the prospect of dressing up or the fact I'm taking along time about it so she thinks she's off the hook lol.
