Hello all, Matt here. I've only been enrolled in the forum for a few days now, but have lingered for quite a while. I've been an active member of the 405th Halo Costuming Community for about a year and a half now, and have become quite comfortable with the "pepakure method" of building props and armor. However, I've been wanting to shift gears a little bit to something besides Halo. I enjoy it thoroughly, but it's been almost 18 months of nothing but that. I need to work on something else before I go crazy:lol:.

What better way to do that than to go into something that I enjoyed very much growing up, the world of Star Wars. I've found several decent references thus far; Alan's templates, paint templates, color codes, pretty much everything you would need to make an accurate Boba bucket, or any other armor part for that matter.

Anyway, I know it's a little long winded, but I just wanted to introduce myself, and say that I'm happy to be a part of the Dented Helmet Community. I can't wait to get started, especially on a scratch build(something new to me). Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard on this site, providing all of the information necessary for new people like me.

Oh, I love Dayton. Went to school at Wright State. Still go back every once in a while to go to Young's Dairy in Yellow Springs or to Foy's Halloween Store in Fairborn and the Bookery.

Right now, I'm in Marietta, right across the border from Parkersburg, WV, just off of I77.

Nice to see some fellow Ohioans, and local. I actually live in Arcanum now, about 35 minutes northwest of Dayton. Anyone familiar with Greenville?

Ah yes, the Maid Rite. Quite the staple of little Greenville. I wonder if its anyone I know, that you dated from Greenville. I suppose it depends on the timeframe too. But anyway, again, very nice to see some people on here from the area.
