    Hello everyone!

I'm a member of the 501st Legion and since reading the Republic Commando series by Karen Traviss I really want a Mando costume. I know, "way to jump on the band wagon, Winter!" But I don't care. LoL

This site has been a HUGE help to me as I get started and I want to say thank you in advance for all of the members here who have put so much work into helping us n00bs. I look forward to chatting and hopefully even meeting many you over the years to come.

Welcome to TDH, a great place to be! While I'm not a big 'Star Wars - Expanded Universe' fan, I can say that I saw some excellent concept mando builds here. Good luck with your build and don't forget: an image worth 1000 words!

It's intimidating at first, but when forums start opening up and you start asking people stuff, the snow ball gets rolling! Welcome by the way!

I agree with the intimidating at first. I am so new to this website myself. But I will say everyone has been super cool and nice so far. I can only say great things about the people I have met so far and who have helped me along the way. The website has great research materials and 9 times out of 10 if you search for the question/topic you are looking for you will find it easily. I have spent endless hours reading through the forums. I just recently started ordering items from the cargo hold and I'm a little kid checking the mail everyday till they come in. It's ridiculous really... haha

Too true. TDH is a clearinghouse of great tutorials and project ideas. Thankfully this isn't my first build or I think i'd be a little overwhelmed. just taking it slow and steady with attention to detail.

I'm in Tampa Bay. I see you're AF. I was a UH-1N Chief on active duty.
