    a formal introduction

Hello, I've been looking at this site for a little over 3 months now and been an official member for about 2 months to learn and get the privilege of the search bar. This is the first ever forum I have ever joined and I was so overwhelmed with all this information I forgot to introduce myself. Now that I'm close to the start of my first mando build.
I'm a teenager still in high school, so a "large wallet" is not exactly what I have. I have absolutely no costume and or prop making experience with the exception of making chain-mail armor with my dad and and being on a on a high school aged robotics team so I have experience with lots of tools.
I am really excited to join this forum. I bet this will be a lot of fun and I have already bought some trash cans and hope to soon have an official start to this new hobby.

Wow 57 views and no welcomes? well let me be the first to welcome you to the forum and being new myself I understand your excitement. The garbage can build looks great but also try sintra it is very inexpensive as well and you get alot of it to work with $30 for a 4x8 sheet and fairly easy to find just look up plastic suppliers in your area and give them a call! sintra is very cool to work with if you make a mistake or dont like the shape just reheat it and fix it!! anyway welcome and good luck on your build!!

Thank you. I was beginning to wonder, I thought the trash can would be easier to start out with. But when I get a better idea of what I'm actually doing, I was planning to make the switch.

I think it is easier to use sintra or PVC than the trashcans. The trashcan method is very thin and to me ends up being harder to work with because of it.

I have used PVC pipe to make armor, the only draw back is it is heavier than the PVC/sintra board.

    Welcome to the site.
