Finally decided to take the plunge and build an ESB Fett.

My son and daughter (3 and 5 years old) are obsessed with Star Wars. I first dragged out my old original Kenner toys and let them play with them, then let them watch the movies and they were hooked!

My son went trick or treating as a Storm Trooper this year so I thought it would be good to be able to dress up with him next year. Hopefully a year gives me enough time to put something reasonable together. I have been reading a lot and trying to make decisions on who to buy gear thru and what sort. There's lots to take in and I'm up for some $$'s, but I want to try and do it right the first time.

Cheers Marcus

Cheers guys, yes I certainly appreciate the enormity of what I am taking on. I didn't at first but after reading this site for a few days I did. lol

You have a great looking costume Hunter. I see you 3d printed the blaster. Did you print that yourself or already buy it like that? One of my concerns was getting the blaster and side arm with Australia's harsh guns laws including regulations about replicas. I was wondering if it would be difficult to import even an imitation gun for Fett?

Welcome. You can put a Fett costume together fairly quickly if you throw enough money at it but be warned it will never be finished hahaha. Mine is in a constant state of build since 2004

Hi there fellow sandgroper I have just started my Fett build and looking at it to do it right will be at least hitting the 3.5/4 k mark doing the work yourself I am looking ad doing the armor side of it myself using templates and sintra plastic(not called that here) but I will be posting a thread when I start so keep an eye out as my helmet is on its way. :)
