Fett from Down Under

G'Day!

Thought I should do a proper introduction for the forum. I come from the land down under and am a huge movie buff hosting a film talk show on a radio station down here. Been a huge Wars fan since I was 8, and have been a Fett fan since then as well. I was introduced to Star Wars costuming through seeing the 501st troopers. For a job I work at a charity that regularly uses the 501st to entertain kids and seeing how much reaction they get from the kids we work with I thought I should get in on the action. I'm planning on doing a SE Fett and am very excited to start the long journey of getting the costume together and look forward to sharing my progress on here.

If there are any Aussie's here that have built a costume and can point me in the direction of local suppliers and can share experieces please PM me, would love to hear from you.

Hoping to get to know you all better and thanks for creating such a positive friendly community!

Welcome to TDH! That's a pretty awesome line of work, and I'm a bit jealous!

I've vacationed in Australia and can say it was one of the most interesting and beautiful places I have ever been. I'm really trying to convince my fiance to move there after college!

G'Day Ragetti
Welcome to TDH
Feel free to PM me anytime. I'm currently putting together an ESB Boba,
What part of Oz are you from?

Boba Mike

Yeah its a great place to live! You gotta come down here even if its for a few years!

Hey Mike, I'm from Adelaide how about you?

Welcome mate,
Im another Aussie SLOWLY puttng together a Fett, Unfortunately Im not much use with suppliers in Aus as Im only just setting out like you....
But don't worry, the guys here will point you in the right direction

Yeah I'm slowly getting togther a list of suppliers, but the majority are from overseas (but with the dollar back up its lot cheaper to do it then in the past!) Just mainly trying to find the right paint here in oz as it seems the cheaper option is to paint your own armour. Plus I think it would be more of an accomplishment to do at least some of your own work on the costume rather then getting others to paint it. How far along are you with your 'stume?

Hey Ragetti,
SNAP, I'm in Adelaide too
I have found a few bits and pieces local, girth belts, material for vests etc.
Doing the run around for paint and a jumpsuit at the moment
Buzz me a PM and we'll talk
