Cheers from Norway!

I guess it's time to say hi!

I'm a soon to be 30 year old, married guy from Norway. I have a son that's a little over 2 years old (still plenty of time to make him a SW-geek :)

I'm a member of the Nordic Garrison and currently have an ANH Elite stormtrooper costume. My next step is a Boba Fett ROTJ. I'm a little awestruck by all the work, skill and money that goes into a Boba, but with the help of all the great people here at TDH, I'm confident I will have a great looking Boba in due time.

Status at the moment:

Researching, researching, researching...

I just got confirmation that I have a set of Ruffkintoys ROTJ gauntlets reserved for me, and I also got offered the fettronics chestdisplay.

My plan of action is to make as much as I can myself, but I know that some of the parts are way out of my league to make, so I'm probably gonne hit up bobamaker for the stuff I can't do myself. I'll hopefully be able to do most of the painting myself, with the exception of the helmet and backpack. I have no experience with painting other than my TK helmet, so it's gonna be babysteps all the way.

I'm gonna keep scouring this board for information and advice, and if I get stuck, I'll definately ask. Plus, I have two awaesome Boba's in my garrison to rurn to for help.

Talk to ya later! :)

Hei, og gratulerer med et godt valg av kostyme.
Velkommen hit til TDH, her vil du finne alt du trenger å vite, og ikke vil vite om Boba Fett.
Hyggelig å få en Nordmann til på laget.:)

And in English.
Hi, and congratulations on a great costume choice.
Welcome to TDH, here you will find everything you need to know, and don't want to know about Boba Fett.
Nice to have another Norwegian on the team.:)

i think most pieces are possible to be scratchbuilt and looking great, it's just the fact that those that want a die hard screen accurate costume eventually just buy maker parts and finish the kit work/painting.

if you're an elite trooper though that may be the route you eventually go.

but good luck either way. Oslo is a beautiful place, haven't been there in awhile though.

You're a heck of a lot closer to bobamaker than any of us in the states. I would definitely recommend picking up anything you can from him

Thanks!

Yeah, I'm gonna pick up some of the parts from him. Lid, cod, butt, back, knees, neckm jet pack and maybe a few others. I'm attempting to make the chest plates and shoulders myself. and all the softparts as well.

I want to do as much as I can myself, as that's kinda my philosophy when it comes to costuming. But I also have to recognize my shortcomings when it comes to scratchbuilding as I've never done it before. :)

Anyone seen this?

Loads of nice Boba-shots, even though the acting ain't all that.
