Army Infantryman Says Hello!

Ponte

Active Hunter
Hello everyone! My name's Rick, I'm 22 years old and I'm currently stationed at Ft. Myer, Virginia with the U.S. 3rd Infantry Regiment. I've been a big fan of Boba Fett ever since I was a kid and back in 2006 I joined this board reading a lot of the extremely helpful information all you guys have posted. Now that I'm finally living off-post, I've decided to pick up where I left off and start creating the most movie-accurate Fett uniform I can.

I've barely scratched the surface of this forum, and I can't wait to find more interesting posts on the "do-it-yourselves".

A small bit about me: A few of my hobbies include playing Guitar, WWII-Re-enacting and militaria collecting, going to the range, graphic design, PC Gaming, keeping fit, and spending time with my girl Brittney...who lovingly asks me why the hell do I want to build a "walking junkyard" (her first impression of Boba Fett).

I hope to become an active member of this board. Take care,

- Rick

Nice to see another fellow serviceman getting onboard. Working on a similar project myself, in addition to a couple of customs. BTW, that's what my wife tells me when I talk about the Fett project too! lol

Welcome from another former 11B (29th ID)...

Someone used to carrying 50+ pounds of TA-50 should have no prob with plastic armor...Lol

Good to have you here (y)

G'day Rick and welcome mate. I'm ex 1 Commando '90-'99 and my wife says the same about my Fett as well! She likes my tk but complains about Boba!
There's a lot of Military that wears Fett! So we all can't be wrong.....can we?

Heck no, we're just re-producing some really far-fetched (and scuffed up) futuristic TA-50. "Support the Troops" also means "Support the giant mess your boyfriend/husband is making with sintra and paints". :D

Hello Ponte,
Would like to say Thank you for your service and to all on the board whom are and have served Thank you.
see you round the forums:)

As my first official post I'd like to thank all the Soldiers on this thread for their service to me personally in defending this country. And to any other Soldiers, Marines, Airmen or Sailors on the board; the same goes for you all.

Thanks.
