Hi all, I registered earlier today so I suppose I should quit just looking around and introduce myself. I have been a Star Wars fan since the original movie came out, before it was known as "A New Hope." I've watched the prequel trilogy , but didn't get as deep into it as I did the original. Jango was cool though. I sort of left Star Wars for a while after LOTR came out. So this is kind of a "homecoming" for me. My son is getting me into the "Clone Wars," especially since we started looking into Mandos, their culture and armour.
Anyway, I have started working on armour of my own and will be producing some for my son (15) and my daughter (12). We're looking at being a team with the daughter being a sniper while the son (who is already considerably larger than me) being something of a heavy gunner while I would be more of a short-range fighter carrying a scattergun type weapon and twin sidearms. I expect this to evolve as we go along but that's the plan anyway. I forge knives as a hobby so I already know a good deal about working with steel. That also gives me a good head start on equipment for working with metal. I'll be posting son about the armour I am working on.
