WIP: Solo's Custom Build

did the rub n buff make it look that metallic? or is there something else that did it?

Yep... it was all rub-n-buff that made it look like that. I am getting ready to apply the pewter rnb on top of it to make it look more in line with what I want but this was the silver leaf variety that others use for Jango.

did you use the same pipe to make the back plate

Yep. It took a few times passing it through the oven and some sessions with the heat gun to get it more like I wanted (though still not perfect) but it did the trick. I glued some abs scrap above the back slots and added bondo to get the shape for the ridges. Worked well for that particular detail.

Great build up!!

The only thing I' m confused about is that with a build this good and no really different colors then what we' ve seen on screen... why don' t you try and create a real awesome Jango? I mean... as it is now it only needs a few more twists and you' ll have a killer Jango... why not?

Oh it's going to be a Jango... just the Open Seasons version. To be honest, I'd consider an AotC Jango but the ear caps on my helmet aren't correct and I'd need the correct version. With OS Jango, I think there's room for leniency on that detail.

Also, there isn't one of these in my garrison and only two in the legion. We have a couple of Boba's and a Jango already so this won't conflict with what someone else might want to wear... but if I had a Jango helmet, I'd definitely consider going for it. All about the finances and availability.

Thanks for the awesome WIP! Im totally inspired to do my Mando armor out of PVC! Did you completely flatten all of your material and then work from there, applying your pattern and shaping? Also the Rub'n'buff finish
looks innnnncredible! Ive seen the gold used on some props and thought it looked ok, but the silver leaf on those plates.....smokin. Do you have to
seal the Rub'n'Buff so that it does'nt rub onto everything else? Thanks
for the awesome wip!
