Sorry guys, i only just logged on.

Anyway, I guess its time to tell the truth for once. I guess that I didnt want to be one of the newbies that buy the armour from eBay... I suppose it was wrong of me to lie to you guys. I DID cheat, and I'm REALLY sorry, to Nevu especially. I fully understand if none of you want to ever have anything to do with me again. Again, I apologise.

    Pacx.

I don't think anyone is saying its cheating pacx!

Everyone has different levels of ability, some scratch build everything other mod stuff etc. You WILL learn a lot (I know I have) but it's best to be straight from the off!
One thing I've found on TDH is that no matter how much of a n00b you may feel someone is always willing to help.

Yeah, bro, its not an issue, if you want to buy armor off of evilbay by all means go ahead, That armor is very high quality, and is actually cheap compared to the price of sintra nowadays, not to mention the difficulties of forming the backplate, knees, and shin armor. But seriously it's a non-issue.

    Plus, dare I say it . . . . that's a lot of time saved

I would recommend that you experiment with sintra, just to get the feel for it. You wouldn't need to spend much and it will open you up to a world of possibilities!

Looks great vode!!! You might want to flesh out the lines a little bit to be more noticible from a distance.

Exactly.......... get some black and browns and do some long distance quick button pushes to spatter on some age baby... thats gonna look soooooo cool.

are you gonna buy one of SAZ's buckets or just get a DP and glass it?

I dunno... if SAZ is cheaper than anything else I might be persuaded to buy from him...

How do you suggest i dirty my armour up? I think I might give the bad boy a couple of coats of dark grey and make a few cuts in the armour then do some more splattering (which is a lot of fun!) Any help is appreciated.

    Pacx

well, you can get a dremmel and use a sanding disk and dig some long cut's into the armor. There's also the good old fashioned put it on the ground and drag it, thats how I put a few of my scratches. You can (be CAREFUL) use a lighter to make burns and dig into them for laser blast's.

You can layer paint then mask and layer and mask and layer more. You can use tooth paste as a mask.

    WOW love the paint job!
Is all the armor going to be white under the blood splatter?

@Alpha - No. I recently (code for just as i read the post :P) decided that I'd make it dark grey (RC) style to make it less Stormtrooperified.

@Fractal - Mustard? I'm intruiged. Tell me more!

And - new question: Mando Mercs says i have to have back covering implements - I dont think i want a jetpack, so.... Cape Time! Whatcha think, guys?

just layer it on over where you want the weathering, then paint your main color.

sweet! cant wait to see it!

oh and a cape would look extremely awesome! but i would make sure to make it weathered and a bit torn (kinda like the kama and all my sketches if you have ever seen them ) and on that note kama would look pretty sweet as well

Or if none of that fits your fancy you could still find some other sort of thing to use on your back
