Aww you guys are giving me ideas i can't do!! Remember I'm a newbie, just making a skull would be difficult...

But there are definatley gonna be claws hanging from me. I think attaching them to the gauntlets would be fun.. like a ring of claws around the rim? It could also be used as a melee weapon.... ideas, ideas!

lemme look around for something you could use as a base to modify......

    here we go...
    http://cgi.ebay.com/Resin-hand-made-...3286.m63.l1177

or just save those images and make it from cereal boxes with resin and bondo. YOU CAN DO IT, trust me, just use cardboard and tape and hot glue at first.

Wow... looks awesome... I think that'll have to be an add-on after the actual armour to be finished.. it's a little expensive for me, especially with the rest of the stuff i need to buy.

you can easily get cardboard boxes FREE from USPS, I used priority envelopes for my first bucket..look over there
    <----------------------

then tape staple etc, hot glue is your friend since it can melted, see my post for the wands I made, they look like wood, but its just hot glue on paper.

Re: well, here we go. Pacx's Progress.

...something else you could do, is paper mache with resin instead of glue over a wire frame...

And vod, dont say you cant do it. I've only been building armour for about 9 or 10 months, so I'm still a newb, and I'm doing things now that I thought I could never do back then. Do a little research, learn something new, then VIOLA! you have something really awesome.

You can do it mate! Just take it slow and ask lots of questions! Most of the time someone here on TDH will have an answer or solution to whatever problem you run into.

cant hurt to try... then try again, it may take a few tries, but it can be done.
you can also put a couple of these on a braid to show hunting skill. (pretend its something dangerous)

although its only a marten skull.

Yeah, me too!!! Maybe like the dome of the skull with the eyes, just like a replacement dome, but over your REAL dome. That would look awesome.

I think it could look pretty sweet if you used you fingers to apply some war paint type marks with the blood.

would fit with the hunter type skull-helmet !?!

Re: well, here we go. Pacx's Progress.

Woah, sorry guys. I've been taking a well-earned break. how I earned it, I don't know, but we'll get to that later. If ever.

As I've been on holiday, nothing has been done and my armour is looking neglected and sad, and i get a pang of guilt every time I look over my shoulder at it. BUT - here's what i PLAN to do with the little bugger.

Helmet: Albino, hopefully skulled and hand-printed. (I want it to look like someone put their bloodied hand on my head to beg for mercy. Quite why they'd put it on the head I don't know but hey, who cares.)

Armour: Bloodied, as before, but its gonna be a dark shade of grey instead. I'm gonna take the sandpaper to it and do a little scratching to make it less smooth and more textured. I don't really know what else to do with weathering, but I'll think of something.

Accessories: Skulls. Skulls. And more Skulls . Bloodied up and hanging from various places about my person. I have some... friends... who can get me some little skulls and bones and stuff to stick on me. (Come to think of it, while on holiday, I saw a dead deer.. why didn't I dissect it... wait, don't answer that.)

Gauntlets: Standard gauntlets, no particular style. I'm gonna buy a job lot of claws and stick 'em around the edges of it, to use as a melee weapon.

Levi: The cape looks AWESOME. I'm definatley using that .

Unless I've missed anything, that's all I got, and I will now get into laser-whip submission stance. Fire at will.

    Su'cuy Gar ner vod,

ok... going to admit to my poor thread watching here... but just now getting caught up. 1. Don't care that u bought ur armor, a lil peeved u lied about it tho... but not mad at u. Still talking to u, still watching/reading/commenting on ur thread, still willing to draw for u, as always.
    2. Love the paint job, needs more large swaths tho. U have a lot of good, small whispy lines of "blood," But a few thicker, wider dragged splotches would look pretty cool.
    3. I like the suggestions about the skull/trophies. I don't personally carry any on my armor (which is only half done), but I don't disaprove of it!

All in all looking good, can't wait to see it finished, glad u decided to go with my concept for your overall scheme!

So you're still alive, my brother.

    1: Same reactions all around.
2: The paint job needs touching up, i agree. I suppose the pictures I have taken were basically something to avoid getting whipped (which I sense will happen soon anyway). I feel we shall need to touch up the sketch, too
3: I'm warming to the idea of a skull helmet. I'm really not sure, though.

(between me and you, I'm starting to think that maybe I should've waited a while before getting too ambitious with this particular project. My bank account has only just recovered from Imperial Officer material (something I actually CAN do!)).

First... my name is PACX. Not PAX. Study hard :P.

Second. Unless you want pictures that i already gave to you, no. Recently, lucky for me, i was struck down by the piggy plauge and have just recovered. Not helpful. BUT - I am going to the hobby shop tomorrow to get me some dark grey, chrome and black paints, so i can get the base coat done. and then... Screwdriver time.

Ah.. sorry guys. I'm nursing my light-whip wounds. I didn't get a chance to go to the hobby shop, though I did pick up a nice tailored dress shirt (i have a dinner occasion soon!). So lets run through the setup again, shall we?

Armour: Light mando armour, darkgrey, blood spattered.

Helmet: Dark Grey, skulled, blood spattered.

Accesories: Claws, teeth, small skulls braided into wookie scalps, blood bottles hanging of my belt

Class: Medic-Mando, Melee fighter. I like the idea of a doctor-mando covered in blood, some of which ISN'T from his enemies .

    *ahem* Mentlegen.

I fear that far too many whips will be charged to the setting marked 'Especially for Pacx... do not use unless in an emergency.' However, I shall face what I deserve. I have been a busy little bee, whipping around the Midlands searching for chrome paint. I have found some.
I have begun keying the plastic (which makes the blood stains look kinda cool) and the first coat will be ready for TOMORROW!! *maniacal laugh* I also touched up the paintwork and modified my Verpine a bit, making it look like a MA5C Assault Rifle (Halo!), and I have some new weaponry. My money is stretching thin, however I shall soon have enough to buy some proper gaunts and (unless something terrible happens) my good ol' pal Nevu is going to see if he can make me a Helm (postage is a nightmare but i shall pay like the good hearted soul i am).
Phew. Claw situation - bought, awaiting ganutlets to be put on.

Je'Karta's Story hasn't been put on hold at all, and the next installment will be up soon.

    -Pacxy Pacxy Pacxman.

Hey Pacx, Vode is the plural of Vod:

    # vod (VOHD) - brother, sister, comrade
    # vode (VOH-day) - brothers, sisters, comrades

I'm £70 plus postage, but in your case, postage would be the fiver in petrol to deliver it to you as I believe you are in the M6/M42 circle.

he he... Pacx dude some of us just LOVE to aggrevate! lmao How's the kit goin?

BTW... not sure if I really like the whole blood business, but it is YOUR mando not mine! lol... Mandos r supposed to be professional soldiers. As a professional soldier I can tell u, we CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN our kit. Yes I understand that it can be very hard to clean off, (trust me I know). However, that being said... I understand the bloodpacks for a medic. It DOES make sense, I just know our medics treat those things like extremely rare, precious eggs and... they never carry 'em out in the open, they're always secured carefully in a pack, usually seperated from the rest of the medgear. I do like ur kit tho... it's a great concept. I guess I need to get to work on those updates huh? lol

@ Adonian: my only remark is ¬_¬. too.

@ Kal: Mehe, the kits goin' well. The time has come to take some pics so they'll be up by the end of the week. I hope. The whips - man them. About the bloodiness - after reading your comment, and logic dictates thats a wise move, Medic/Close Range expert would be the mostr likely choice. Now to come up with an excuse... Hmm. As a medic, I'm not going to be one of the well-oiled machines that I'm sure you and your comrades are. I am going to be the doctor who, unlike many others, is a doctor simply to satisfy his curiosity. He has no medical qualifications whatsover. He makes up for this by carrying A: a bottomless supply of syringes and B: a trembling weakness for plunging said syringes into humahn flesh. He is the mando everyone steers clear from. To read more about Je'Karta check back soon.

Mehe, I was in the Royal Air Cadets for a few years, as a medic. I was taught how to take you apart, clean you, put a handy detonation device in your gut and then stitch you up again, which was meticulouslay practiced to drill. (minus the detonator, of course. (That was for christmas and bank holidays). I think the highest score was set by the sergeant at 10 minutes. He smelt of death for weeks.

    Back to the kit -

I found a new melee weapon that only a doc would carry. a BONESAW!

OK finally! My silver is NEARLY done, one more coat *about 3 done already* so i can make dents. I'm also gonna make actual holes in the armour with 'blood' coming out, as if i've been shot multiple times. I AM a doctor *barely* and i CAN fix my own wounds... sometimes.

*** dude... Jason (the horror movie series) and Michael Moore from the Halloween movies! Psycho slasher types. Also, I would suggest scratch building a wood/plastic model... sharp stuff tends to actually cut! lol

Just throw your least favorite neighbor into your Firespray's engines. That'll give you some nice blood spray.......if he's not vaporized, that is....

Maybe tossing him to the Rancor would be better....

Well the only thing acheived by throwing Mr. Bentley from number 32 into Death's Head was a clogged engine and 3,000,000 credits worth of damage.
I imagine a Rancor would work, but I unfortunaltley don't have one. I'll speak to Jabba later.

lol there's a lot longer story to it than that, but that was the gist of it... i sit in the back of the plane... with no windows... but it's a great job and in a few years i'll have enough experience to upgrade to ALO, which is a ground job

Ergh... sorry I've been gone a while guys. Nevu's right, leading a clan is fairly difficult. I've been having a few disputes with that sorta thing.

I actually haven't done anything with my armour since painting the last coat of silver. But I'm gonna take some photos after school tomorrow (assuming my 2nd in command dosen't need anything). Don't tear my eyes out, please. And leave the whip in the whip box.

NOTHING HAS HAPPENED WHILE I WAS GONE. I AM DISAPPOINTED IN YOU ALL.

As I said in Kal's thread (hehe, couldn't find this one; it was moved to the 3rd page ), I've been gone for a while. Long story short, things not been goin' so well in my street. Aaanyway, I've been licking my wounds and thinking, and i've done a COMPLETE AND TOTAL redesign. It's not recognisable. 'Part from the blood.

Still silver, still standard and light. But I digress.

I WILL get pictures up SOON. Don't bug me. the weapon's been made. BONESAW!!! (or as I like to call it, UBERSAW!!)
