The blueish belt is a swiss military motorcycle belt. It was originally gray , but has since been dyed black. Obviously I need to apply a few more coats. The second belt is a leather shotgun bandoleer. If you can see the under belt close enough It's been chewed up a little by Mird (aka my dog Buster).
 
I dunno if its 100% accurate, but I like the motorcycle belt as a dark blue- It gives the costume some depth that I think would be lost if it were 100% black, but all the while being dark enough to fit in with the black and not draw the eye directly to it.

Kandosii Vode! Both versions were very well done. I"ll re check the novels but

I think she(travis) descibed Walon in Triple Zero as having all black armor, standing for justice, single color, monochromatic mandolorian armor. Theres is a scene where Skirata gets a lil jealous becouse Vao's all black Beskar'gam matches omega squad's newly issued matte black Katarn armor.
 
I'm doing my best vod but it's not all on my end. Oh and Mird can look after himself. He's not as cute and cuddly as he looks.

excellent set of armor, ner vod! i agree with everyone else, the bronze is just all around outstanding looking.
and btw...i was just about to post something suggesting the use of that nerf sniper as a weapon, and then i found this and saw you were a step ahead of me! kandosii. is it supposed to represent the verp rifle here?
 
The bucket is a rubies and the gauntlets are made from 2008 honda accord rear inner fender wells. The trim color is rustomium hammed bronze. The gauntlets are still in the works. I'm working on a mark 2 set now. I'll post some pics of the new blaster as soon as I can.
 
awsome over all! love the boots, nice paint on the gun, and oooo... how'd you make that pistol, can we get some pics of that? I also REALLY like that pic on the steps, makes it all come to life!

I agree with the comment regarding the blue motocycle belt too. It doesn't jump out at you and is fairly subtle yet does break up the black a little. Though if you're consulting with Karen herself about this then it's between you two.

I'm also using a cartridge belt in my gear but as of yet haven't got anything to go into the cartridge slots. What did you use?? Right now I'm thinking of using expended canisters from my asthma enhalers! Modified though. ;)

Anyway, great work! Looking forward to more pics! ;)
