Ok, this is my idea.(perhaps a baad one, but i dont care.)

Based on my research that the mandolorian's are more of a culture than a sentien being of a spesific kind. And they adopt new members based on skill, potential and talent.

So I mean to built the first ever(to my knoleage) Tusken-mando. HA!
Im making scetches, planning and my brain in feeling kind of bubbly with all the ideas! When im done with the drawings you will see what i imagine. Its awsome!(or so i think)

I have a really low budget, but so did the first starwars movie.

Ill be going for the un'tusken-ish close combat theme, this way i can re-use my broken beyond repair m1911 air soft into a blaster of kinds.

Im thinking to "dress up" the helmet with cloth and leather, and probably the armour too. But I dont want it to look like I use cloth for armour.

No, im going to use the Mando helm as bace for this projekt, then "Tuskenize" it.

Its likley that the project is going to change a little along the way but its going to be fun.

They always do change along the way. If you are at all like me, you have a very set idea in your head...at every phase of the project, however one of these 4 things will happen.

1)you will discover your original idea is too expensive.
2) Your original idea is impossible
3) Your original idea makes the costume too heavy, uncomfortable, hot, etc...
4) You are distracted by a shiny object.

Like I said, maybe that's just me.

wow dude great idea!

if you google cyberman voice changer you will se it has a pretty similar look, wouldnt take a hell of a lot to custom a tuskan lid out that! i also thought a mask of some sorts would be cool...i'll wip something up in paint and post it up to show u what i mean!

i acctually just whipped up a sketch of what i always thought a tuskan mando would look like and incorporated some of your design aspects into it, so if i can scan it in later i'll post it up for you man!

I don't want to be the rain on the fun. I do feel I must point out that Tuskens HATE space travel. The only ones to leave the planet to my knowladge are the ones that are Maw's personal mercenaries.

there are two Tusken raiders that i know of that left there clans and became jedi A'Sharad Hett and his farher Sharad Hett
A'Sharad Hett later became Darth Krayt dark lord of the sith and The new Emperor on Coruscant

i wanted to possibly make the twilek mando in the kotor comics the helmet is basically a boussh(sp) helmet with the lekkus (again sp?) hanging out the back itd be neat but i think once i finish my current mando im going to do either mandalore the indominable or the ultimategood luck in your endevor

Hey, just a few questions, because I can't tell from the blue print pictures:

How are you going to have the Tusken eyes on the T-visor style mando helmet?

That is just one question...I thought I would have had more, haha.

sharad hett was a human jedi that joined the tuskan, fathered a son with a human slave, producing a'sharad hett, and when sharad died a'sharad was dicovered by the jedi...so yeah...neither of them are really "tuskans" just humans pretending to be tuskans and have adopted their culture, which is probably the best way to play this costume, but you could always just be a tuskan who was captured from tatooine and taken elsewhere and then never bothered returning and joined the mando's...but yeah...i threw out that sketches i did they were terrible...but i printed a pic of a tusken costume and sketched over that what was in my mind...then i scanned it back in...but it though paint to tidy it up a bit....and here it is!:-

ok that hasnt converted from paint very well...i'll take a look and see if i can re-post it or edit out that one and edit in the new one!

Aye, that was the idea. And to use the cardboard approach for the inside. So the basic "mando" shape remains. And as the Role player I am I've been thinking of a background. Im thinking some mandalorian trained him and adopted him from from childhood and up. But he is not a wery famed one, just mentioned briefly like a ghost from the desserts in the mois eisly canteena.

Skjoldhammer my man! This is a patience project indeed. And it will come along slowly,:facepalm I got printed out the "blueprints" but thats all. I still need time to build up cold hard cash to buy glue and the other nessesities like pvc tubes and stuff. When I get some done you will get to see it indeed.
