Once again hi
lets forget about all of these ninjas and sabourters and lets focous on,
FRONT OF THE LINE MANDALORIANS. This is my new project will post pics of my armor soon. Right now I'm painting my rifle, its sweet. It is a broken crossman airsoft gun the 50 dollar one at wal mart. I've got most of my armor cut out this is what I need

Helmet
Gaunts
Shoulder bells
back piece
vest
flight suit

hey everyone !! sorry i didnt update my post but today i got the back plate shaped and im over at mercs looking at how im going to make my helm. Can wutz up!! im probably going to do the semi circle. there probably wont be thing tom becuse im sick

well ya know there the standard Jango or Boba... then there's the MS Supercommando, Neo Crusader, Custombuilt, A'd'ika Supercommando, etc...

? Im kinda confused with your question. If your asking if you should get bondo glass, that depends. If you are using just plain bondo like you are, you can just resin the helmet afterwards to give it the strength of bondo glass

not sure if that is what you asked

want to know if i should buy some glass bondo and use it inside my helmet

hi everyone
today me and dad went to wally world and i got some paint and another can for my cod,and knees and i dont know how to put the knee templates together i need some help please

First off when bonding remember less is more don't rush focus on one area at a time it will save you alot of frustration.

Second I found once the helmet was finshed (including the dome) out of cardboard or plastic. Paint on resin to the inside and out let that cure and then procede with the bondo.

My advice is tape it from the inside to get it shaped nicely, just put tape on the tip

Ok I know I haven't posted here in a while, been kind of busy with school, but now were on break. Monday I put I fixed the dome of my helmet, and started putting bondo on the dome. Its about to rain so I can't relly work on anything right now but I thought I would post on here what exacly my mando is.

Me and dad just got back from the store and I'm going to start another helmet. We picked up the huge For-Sale signs and I need to know the stuff I need to put on it (bondo, glass bondo, resin fiberglass, ect.) yeah I need to know all the ones I need on my helmet.

So.....What i did with my bucket is I made it out of cereal boxes, fiberglass cloth+resin on the inside, then bondo (which I'm still doing) on the outside. It's not to heavy and its pretty strong.

Alpha did bondo-glass and his bucket is looking good.

It's really a matter of opinion of what you want to do with your bucket. My whole bucket cost about (not including the cereal boxes. Those were easy to get free: EAT THE CEREAL) oh, 30-40 dollars. So far, I've only used one small can of Bondo and FG resin. And I could probably do a whole nother bucket because I've got so much left over, or at least some major touch-ups. It's definitely worth having bondo around. AND if you do custom gaunts, you can use extra resin on those.

Im feeling like a pro already (but im definatly not )

I'm pretty sure A'd'ika uses Bondo-glass too... that's what I used on my first set of gaunts, they turned out alright but the material I used for the base wasn't the best... I'm redoin' 'em with cardboard this time.

Actually I do have some progress, I found perfect gaunt material and i have So much of em
And i found a soft bendable Plastic that is perfect for my Bev'ika and Get'si or what ever nuts is in mando'a

no its from airsplat and it won't shoot the bb's out is it because of no spring pressure? if so how do i fix it?

I can't remember if you were planning to apply for Mercs membership or not, but if you intend to use that rifle as is, you won't get very far.

yeah they've gotten kinda strict about that stuff... must be"starwarsy"

No doubt you've done some good work on the paint job, that isn't the issue though.

The issue is that some people look down on custom mandos, some purists on these forums and other costuming groups. Now I know the mercs are really working hard to up the quality of those who costume in public, and I am sure that it is your intention to get the best out of your budget, your armour is looking fantastic at the moment, so, without trying to sound like a great big douche, I think you'd be letting your hard work so far down by sporting an M16 rifle.

Reach for the moon and settle for the stars, which basically means, strive for the best and only cut corners if you have to, that snub rifle you have with your armour on post 14 looks much more Starwarsy and with a few greeblies stuck to it would look fantastic.

I'm sorry if that sounded harsh at all, it was meant to be a constructive pep talk
