Re: Snake Eyes Mandalorian Gear& Helmet
I was using a rubies boba fett helmet which i'm still working on i have to chang out a viser for the color and also i'm doing some other additives like i put my name in aurbesh which now sits on the back of my helmet in red letters and i have to get my clan insignia on my armor and sew on some velcro to my vest which the person i bought from never placed velcro in the armor spots so i have to do it myself.

Re: Snake Eyes Mandalorian Gear& Helmet
Well, the first thing I'm going to tell you Snakeyes is the first thing I tell everyone on Mercs when I have to make a heavy improvement post. My first job above everything else when it comes to Mandalorians is to help you make the best armor possible for yourself.
Lets start with the lack of an armor vest. Some people will say you don't need one, and if your doing a Crusader or Neo Crusader then you don't...but your doing a modern era mando and you really do need one. The vest helps add some bulk to the armor, not only that but it also helps add some comfort when your moving so you don't get pinched.
Your chest armor is way to big for your body. It should never overlap on you the way it looks in those pictures. Use the following "finger" measurements to help you place your armor:
- Index finger (like your pointing at someone) space between collar and chest plates
- Index finger (like your pointing at someone) space between your chest diamond and chest armor
- 1 - 2 Thumb spaces(Do a "thumbs up" then rotate your hand towards yourself so the thumb points to you) between the top of your gut plate and chest armor
Your entire chest armor looks like it could use a trim, as well as your collar plate. You don't want the top outside corner of your chest armor to stick out beyond your collar plate, but you also don't want your plates to look like they are being pushed outward (likes yours look which are tale-tale symptoms of being to big).
You also need to install a full sized t-visor into your helmet, it'll look better and give you more viewing area.
Your gauntlets really need some sort of lower clam shell enclosure, be it plastic/metal/leather. The tops are fine, but the bottom need something to make them look a little more mando-like.
Armor below your waist, you at least need some knee armor if your going to use a loin cloth. Instead of using that loin cloth, I would suggest using a 3 section Kama (It goes around you like a ARC kama, but has a 3rd piece running down the front like a loin cloth. This will close your armor up a bit and give it a little more menacing look.
If you can do all of that, then you are well on your way to having an outstanding kit of armor.

Re: Snake Eyes Mandalorian Gear& Helmet
Just a heads up this Snakeeyes dickbag is running around claiming to be a 1SG in the Army. He is in NO way a veteran. Every photo of his in uniform is fake and has been torn apart by real soldiers, in the link the photo of him in his dress green is proof enough, an E6 wearing a combat patch, but hasn't earned combat stripes on his right sleeve? Entire chest of medals? He's tried to pass it off as "cosplay" but in almost every page he actually lists his profession as US Army First Sergeant (despite wearing staff sergeant rank)
Being a vet myself, this pisses me off as I have lost friends, and this dickbag is lying about being a soldier to get attention. The below link is one of the post dealing with this waste of life, but not by far the only one. I would love to see this dick booted out of this group, which may be a good idea in the end as the **** he's pulling is pouring over into every page he's found associating on.
This ain't Hell, but you can see it from here » Blog Archive » Steve “Snake Eyes” Jordan, MSgt Soup Sandwich’s retarded cousin

Re: Snake Eyes Mandalorian Gear& Helmet
He's also been banned from the Mercs...

wow i knew it was banned but i didn't know all bout all this info...

Re: Snake Eyes Mandalorian Gear& Helmet
Thank you guys for all this info, as a currently deployed infantryman in Afghanistan this kind of **** SICKENS me. Especially after lookin further into those posted URLs to find he added me as a friend on Facebook. But his run will be over, I have turned all that info and this into the legal section of my unit, and they are pushing it up to have him brought up on charges under the Stolen Valor Act.
Thank you again for bringing this to light...

Re: Snake Eyes Mandalorian Gear& Helmet
Nice job on turning him in. I can only hope this dude gets the most harsh punishment possible.

Re: Snake Eyes Mandalorian Gear& Helmet
Gil, Darkson I'm right with ya guys, I may be a flyboy but I have a certain appreciation for the ground pounders. Gil, stay safe dude, my bros from homestation are watching over you! As for Snakeeyes... well lets just say I didn't think he was on the level but I didn't know he was that bad... thanks mandosoldier for posting that info, after diving into the link and the associated links with it I'm rather upset that I didn't catch a lot of that stuff before hand.

Re: Snake Eyes Mandalorian Gear& Helmet
Been trolling the Steve Jordan Page at Facebook...
While the act of what is being protrayed is pretty sad... I'm not completely convinced that it is the 'original Snake Eyes' running it. I've got a feeling that someone has grabbed all his old **** and is doing this for.... well, not real sure what the intent is other than pissing us off. I cant say for certain... just a thought.
Don't get me wrong... I think the idiot Did run around and portray being a soldier, in more than simple COSPLAY, I just dont think the new batch of 'him' is the original.
Got a bunch of buddies running back and forth on the page and tracking various bits of information down.
Issue with the Stolen Valor Act is the fact that it was found unconstitutional, due to violation of Free Speech. I thought they were going to review it in October but quite frankly havent looked into it much... Have better things to do with limited connectivity here in Afgh.

Re: Snake Eyes Mandalorian Gear& Helmet
yeah the large part of what if going on thru FB etc.... is a troll, but in the beginning and on the other pages, it is most definitely him. The original ran and hid once he began his hero talk and some infantrymen succeeded in getting hold of his name, address, phone number, and social security number. Since then real tidbits from the original have popped up, including some video of the man himself, ummmm handling himself. In all he's a huge failure as a human being.

Agreed!!
-
Now I'm not standing up for him but stated by mando soldier that a few infantrymen got a hold of his SS number is not only excessive it's also criminal infact its aggrivated identity theft which is a felony. He is committing criminal impersonation but at most he'd get is misdameanor I don't necessarily agree with people harassing other people because honestly if you want him out tell him to get out the is obviously suffering from some personality disorder why beat a dead horse.
-
Re: Snake Eyes Mandalorian Gear& Helmet
^ Given the statements, on the FB thread, of one individual who has his identity. The only thing he is using it for is reporting Snake's activities. Again, you'd have to believe that the individual that is posting is the real/original Sanek eyes/Steve Jordan.
I disagree that getting his SSN is criminal as you can find that all over the net as well as submit *FOUO request for it.... the criminality comes from how you use it.
However, given this post, I can guarentee I am not on every wep page / forum that is discussing the situation so I cant validate that the people, referenced by mando, do not have any criminal activity in mind.
** FOIA not FOUO: Meant "Freedom of information act"... not "For Official Use Only".
-
Totally see what your saying but merely just having SSN is a crime maybe not identity theft you physically have to use the number to steal goods or money, but it is unlawful possession of ID number its just not moral to stalk this snake eyes guy even if he is the biggest toolbag I'd say eff him karma always comes back to bite you in the arse. He will get his in time. Trust me you can't really take legal action over the Internet unless you have hard evidence and the crimes someone is committing is on a federal level. Technically if someone questioned him on impersonating military he can lie and say he was using it as a costume and they can't do anything to him
-
Re: Snake Eyes Mandalorian Gear& Helmet
Criminal action or not it definately affects my opinion of the individual. That being said, certain things like our service numbers are NOT considered protected information, and are available thorugh the FOIA. Currently, the military is in the process of switching our service numbers to a random number and not our social with a few letters added in. That's probably how they got the information and in using it to reference his actual or alleged military career it's legal as long as they're members of one of several watchdog organizations or currently active/guard/reserve. For example, as an officer I can access PII (personally identifying information) on any of the troops in my unit. That information is protected and FOUO in nature. If I were to use that information for anything other than official business I'd be in BIG trouble. I personally don't want people out there running around with my social security number tho, just me.
-
Re: Snake Eyes Mandalorian Gear& Helmet
We are essentially saying the same thing.

Hell, in the Army even my NCOs and EMs have access to that data. But again... it is how it is used not just the possession of.
But as far as the "Snake Eyes" **** going around now, on the web. I'm still not convinced it is him but rather someone else who has his old pictures... drudged up some old posts and is running around and pissing people off with the posts. there is nothing NEW being posted and any of the pics that are being used now can be traced back a few years in older posts on other sites.
Just too many blind people out there to see it.
-
Re: Snake Eyes Mandalorian Gear& Helmet
either way, if the guy is truly in hiding...so be it....if he isn't and he still wants to continue the charade he will endure the repercussions. I haven't spent 8 years in the infantry to see some of my best friends killed to have this guy say he's "lost friends in the sandbox too".... if it is some sick troll continuing as him, he is just as ridiculous. But I have recently seen this guy at a Con, while I was home on leave. Just saw him in the crowd but none the less...if I see him again he will not enjoy the meeting.
-
Re: Snake Eyes Mandalorian Gear& Helmet
I have a strong feeling you are not alone in those thoughts and can only imagine the influx of soldiers at local cons... if only to search him out. Only time will tell.
Been doing the Army thing for 16yrs, so far, and can say I've seen a few things that struck me as idiotic.... but he pretty much takes the cake.
Would love to run across him...not to do anything violent or such but to get a feel for what he is really thinking and why. There are obviously mental issues involved. Again, this is predicated on the assumtion that the guy stiring the flames is truely the 'original'.
-
Re: Snake Eyes Mandalorian Gear& Helmet
Yeah I'm not gonna come at the guy with anything that's been posted recently, but let me catch him actually wearing his jacked up uniform and I will be correcting the situation. If not in that I'm more than willing to talk it out to see how he really is, or simply walk on by.
