just thought i'd take a moment to show off some progress pics of this custom helmet that i've had for way too long, but got all ocd and have had to restart a couple times.

i don't have a good pic of the left side, it was overexposed and i just haven't made it back outside to take another pic.

so what do you guys think so far?

the green ladder is part of the helmet. it's a killstripes variant.

it is an mdsb. have you ever worked on one? if so, was there a ton of extra resin to cut out?

Yes I have worked on two, actually. And yes they were thick and I trimmed quit a bit. The second one I worked on had a very thick base. I thinned it some to make it more uniform. There is also plenty of resin around the visor area. I sanded out quite a bit to make the visor install more flush.

I traded off the first one I did. The second one I did just kinda for fun and to see what I could do. The second one is thier assassin model.

I dont get the kill stripe ladder thing...how does it reflect kills? Wouldnt some be newer than others like the boba helmet and be more weathered and faded than others?

i don't know, i didn't come up with a story for it. i was following the reasons for making things the way they are in star wars; because i thought it looks cool.

Hey Saint, blue under layer is "in" this year. I like your color scheme. I also used a blue color as an under layer on my custom Mando.
I'll have pics up in a while.

pm07 gave me pretty much free reign to do whatever i wanted with it as long as it was primarily black and olive drab.

more updates. with pics!

as you can see i've finished the lower parts of the helmet now, added scratches, and misted on some weathering. the camera doesn't do the subtle colors justice, they're much easier to see up close in person. the upper cheeks are black misted with dark blue, and the back is a dark green.

i'm glad you like it! this helmet has tested my patience a time or two, but i'm pretty happy with the way it's turned out.

here we go everyone, one helmet ready to go.
