Schuby's Galactic Props

Schuby's armor makes a great starter set. His quality has improved greatly over the last couple years, however you'll want to replace the stock Rubie's visor in the helmet with a full T-visor if your looking at getting into Mercs with his armor.

schuby's galactic props, that takes me back... a moment of confession here; that's where i bought my first boba armor from many moons ago. i remember when i got it i thought it was the coolest thing i had ever seen. i recently found some parts of that costume and i almost shudder. the plates are so huge, the proportions all wrong. i don't even know what kind of plastic it's made out of, but what i have it seems that he just made drew up a quick template, cut it out of some plastic, heated it in the oven, and quickly bent it ever so slightly under cold water. there are so many ways it could be better. it may be now, i'm speaking from an experience almost three years ago. but for what you get for the money i think you'd be better served making your own armor from sterilite trash cans.

Schuby's can be credited for giving me the swift kick in the shebs I needed to get registered here and at MMercs. I looked at his blasters and *knew* I could make some at least as good. So I figured I ought to be able to make armor just as good, also. Please note, I've never *bought* anything from him, just looked at his pics. :D

And we're picking up some sterilite trashcans today... I've got a date with some templates...

Schuby's Galactic Props on eBay makes some pretty cool looking Mando armor and accessories. Does anyone have some of their stuff? And are his items worth the price? Here's the link to their store: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/SCHUBYS-GALACTIC-PROPS__W0QQ_armrsZ1

don't know about the armor but i have seen it on ebay many a time. i would think you could build your own, using the trashcan method, and it would come out just as good, if not better than those. also for the bucket for about 5 bucks more you can get a Sg. Fang helmet http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/showthread.php?t=32678 it will be a better quality than the one on ebay.

I would find Cyanide's armor on ebay if you're looking to buy prefabbed. Same starter stif... 3mm white sintra. But, Cyanide's are better shaped and cheaper. His Boba kits are about $45.00 +shipping and his Jango sets are about $80.00 + shipping.

Don't buy a rubbish ebay helmet either. Buy one of Asok's Jango helmets or one of Sgt. Fang's Mystery helmets here on TDH. If you can't access the trading forum, hit them up via PM.

The thing about Fett items sold on ebay is, why not come and sell them on TDH? Makes me think they are not up to the desired standard?

Honestly, it's no different than your average sintra armor. It can be made to look good with the proper trim-down and paint job. What I don't like is that Schuby isn't willing to refit his Rubies helmets with aftermarket full t-visors, so we have to continue to turn down applicants to Mercs who don't swap out those stock visors.

The price ain't bad and includes paint job so it makes a good base to work off of. The helmet you will probably want to fix up yourself with new visor or doing some reinforcements and such, but if you can, get a helmet elsewhere. The body armor itself is pretty good. If your trying to do accurate Boba or Jango, you might want to look elsewhere, but for a custom mando it's not bad.
