I think it looks like great custom work! Love the custom ear cap also, very nicely done.

I think I might... It's quite easy to do this, because the only things I have to keep in mind is to make it look detailed and true to the Boba Fett feeling. Creating Boba was a much bigger, painful and timeabsorbing project then tis could ever be.

But it's fun to be free in my creativity, yet making it look like it's a part of somthing.

I don' t want to stray to far of the Boba Fett costume.

I' ve made a concept... months, if not years ago... just never really gotten around to it. It was more of a thought.
I even believe someone here used it, as I had no interest in doing it..

And I won' t go with the whole concept, but it's a nice... guide line...

All I can say through is if you are planning on making some mandalorian armor then good luck and have fun with it as well as take your time. To show off that much skill in putting forth your mandalorian bucket really shows something though you may not know much of the mandalorians but hey great job all in all.

Here's an update so far:

















I really appreciate how the armor came out in it's form and I am definitly going to update Boba Fett in the same way as I've done these.

You can see the brush stripes on the logo... but I don't find it disturbing... it has a ring to it I guess.

Weathering is in progress and I've come up with something of a kill stripe symbol aswell.

I dug up my old concept from my parents computer and I made a picture of the helmet next to the armor... nothing new, but it shows how the whole thing looks together now.

I made the concept on the 18th of march 2006... that's a pretty long while ago... I actually discarded this concept as a whole, years ago... dunno what changed in me wanting to make this thing now.

That is awesome!!! I love the Revan look in the right hand drawing...

That armor is coming along awesome so far, ner vod. I like the actual custom bits on it. It looks similar to regular Mando armor, but with it's own simple, but awesome, twists to the regular armor. Nice job.

Oh my goodness! Shab, that is some kick shebs armor! It is amazing!

That is some quality armour. The weathering on both the helmet and armour really sets it off, and now the skull motif has been faded it really makes it look old. Great work.

I' ve done some other thingies.

I made half a backplate, so the cape comes down from underneath that pieces, rather then attached to the collar.

I' ve also made a little item to attach to the belt. I wanted to mix Fett's amoo belt and his thigh pouch into one. (I used the TK-409 method, thanks Chris, you rock!!)

I won' t be making a second one, to keep an asymmetrical look.














I' ve actually used real leather on this thing... Not even my Boba has real leather in it...

This is looking very sweet RBF! I like the Reavanish look. It's going to look very dark and very much a BH. I was a bit ify about a cloak but it looks awesome mate.

@Nevu: Well it's not in the concept... but who knows. If you see the concept and how the bucket turned out for example... I never intended to put the extra patters on the bucket, but it just came up and I liked it.

That goes for everything. I just really like that concept that I made years ago so I' ll keep that as my base line sort of say.

But well... Jango has leg armor, but don' t forget that appart from those 2 tiny knee pads, Boba doesn' t have any leg armor either.

I don' t know. The concept has the kama and stuff and I think that adding leg armor might make it a little busy, but who knows.

Nice work. It's definitely a unique, subtle twist on the usual Mandalorian helmet design. I really like the replacement you made for the customary rangefinder. Is that a functioning laser pointer or is it supposed to be something of a photoreceptor?

No it's not a working laser unit.... Actually... I have no-idea... what it is supposed to be.

It's a purple toy gun that came with the Blue Master Chief Halo action figure...

Well, it works.

Made a backpack with a blaster that's attached to it with magnets, so it can be easily removed aswell.

That pack is SICK!

The whole concept looks very nice. In your first post you said something about not wanting people to think you didn't have the skill to pull off a Boba and I don't think you need to worry about that at all. The ridiculous amount of skill that's going into your weathering, along with all the scratchbuilding, is very impressive. I really like your technique

Yup, that's the range finder of an old Rubies helmet. It's not the RF that came with this helmet however. It's from a Rubies I cut open to use for Robocop.

good catch!!! In a way it's good you didn' t catch that at first, so that means it's at least incorperated into the gun properly.

Well most of the paint job is on. There's some details you don' t see on the picture. The chest symbol of Boba is on it, aswell as all his jet pack symbols. It still needs a few wash layers and then it's entirly done in terms of paint. I' m thinking of adding Fett's rocket aswell... It looked cool when I put my ROTJ rocket on it.

Also, the blaster needs to be dirtied up a bit, it only has basic colors on it.

picked up some army stuff in a dump in the Czech Republic for about 3 dollars.
I' ve also finished on the custom build holster for the scratch made blaster/revolver.

That is one sweet looking custom; I especially like the weathering and leather work thats on it.
