i've been slowly working on this helmet for asok for months now, and i've finally got around to making some real progress last night, along with two other jango helmets i'm putting together for other members here on tdh.

but enough talky talky. lets get to the pictures.

here's the helmet, it started off life as one of asok's cold cast jango's. this is shortly after sanding it all down to 800 grit and taping off the visor area. on the back there's a bit of repair that i had to affect. once the paint went on it's barely noticeable. pay no attention to my friend modelling the helmet.

i forgot to take pics of it after putting the red down, but once i got it taped and ready for the black. here's how it looked at that point.

after getting the tape off, but before the black was completely cured. had to wait overnight for that.

here it is today, right after i finished washing the mask off so it's still wet.

still left to do is to install the keyslots. i'm planning to leave them silver, even though it's red on the figure, i think it would look better and more "real world in universe" to leave it. i also need to shine the cold cast parts, take the dremel to do some physical damage, and then weather and dirty it up.
