question about collar and back

Hey everybody I'm making a custom mando and was wondering if any used Velcro to hold the collar down against the weight of the back bolted together with the picture attached I feel there is a little bit of a gap between the chest and collar and I was hoping someone's incite will tell me Velcro Will do the trick thanks guys

All my plates are held with velcro... So I'd say yes.
