if it's unpainted aluminum you can go through the same process i use for polishing a cold cast helmet. start sanding with 400, and work your way up to 800 and 1000, then get meguiars all metal polish. apply it with a cotton ball then take it off with a mcdonalds napkin.

Thanks! It is unpainted aluminum.
(meguiars all metal polish) I have not come across that brand before, Is it available in the UK? I gess any general metal polish might be ok.
Is there any specific polish for aluminum?
or is Wax polish ok, as surgested by 72555?

I finally got around to start polishing my armor plates. I am using SILVO metal polish. Here is a before and after picture of the shoulder plates. I was thinking it would be best not to polish the metal to perfectly, so that any minor scratches and dents it picks up, don’t stand out to much.
