Opinions

OK all, I just need my lower leg armor (like a catcher in baseball that's knee/shin/foot all in one) and figure out how I'm gonna make cheap holsters to fit my nerf mavericks and I'm done, here's some teasers.

So what's the verdict? right path? I know losing weight will help, but hey I love food. I'm also thinking of whether or not to keep the cape, any opinions on that? it looks a bit much, but I've had the cape for years now and wanted to include it, but I dunno.

(notice the kid ninja in lower 1st pic? lol she always does that!)

Positives:
Colors look good together...Weapon good choice....wrist guards look dangerous....as for the cape it does look good with you look....emblem looks awesome
IMOs:
gold buckles on girth belt needs toning down(to bright for the weathered look of the rest of the suit).....To much black(but hey if that is how your outfit is supose to be then so be it).....cod piece needs more color on it(weathered,to silver)...add some lavender to the chest diamond....maybe add a pouch or two withthe holster....Please keep in mind that this was my list of "In My Opinions" not negatives.
Oh I love the photo over your doorway. What is the "boba photo" to your left???
Keep up the good work everything is coming together :cheers

Don't worry even if it was under negatives, I take everything as an opinion. The photo on my left is of me and Weird Al from the concert I was in with my 501st garrison on the 19th of July. I like black as it goes with everything, I like color, but I HATE costumes with a TON of it, i prefer little sharp contrasts. Putting some color on center and cod piece does sound good though, as does adding some pouches. Money is a huge issue with this suit, as it is now one of 4 that I have going (Ep 3 clone, custom, jedi, sith) in fact the gold buckles haven't been toned down on purpose, as it's also the belt for my jedi/sith. I used alot of parts from other costumes on this to simply keep the cost down and the wife from complaining about spending a ton of cash on yet another set of armor. (so far with armor and materials I only have $85 invested in it) I'm looking to change the pants if lower leg armor doesn't fill it out, right now it looks little 60's batman-ish. Please if you think of anything else, I want to hear anything anyone's got to say.

Wow...Werid Al...to cool

I understand all to well about have saving money by using what you have. For pouches you might visit you local "Army/Navy" store.I have been able to pick up military pouches between 3 and 8 dollars.

I would suggest adding little things like boba's braids and shin tools. when I was doing my custom my friend was doing one at the same time and he found all these little add ons to put on like the belt and such and seeing it next to mine, which looks at the same level of parts as yours, really gave the costume personality and a real usable/used look that just took it up to the next level and some can be done as cheap as looking through junk drawers, stuff you're going to throw out, and just normal around the house stuff. After all that your costume looks great these were just suggestions to help

EDIT: I forgot to say that it may just be the picture but it seems like the cape really blends the costume and removes definition, maybe if you like the cape you could to a smaller one like boba or something of that nature to help really showcase the full potential of the costume. sorry if anything didn't make sense it's late

IMO the cape defintatly needs to be weathered and torn... atleast at bottom.. Both to give it charecter and as well as distinguish it from the black trousers/jumpsuit.
