Newcomer starting Mando Armor project

New Hunter
Hello,
I am new to the forum, new to making Star Wars costumes, but not new to making things. I spent years in the Theatre industry doing props and costumes. I've got skills, but with three kids, very little time for making. My hope is to buy pieces to build the armor, then paint and combine the pieces into Beskar'gam. I started with the thought that buying sporting equipment and modifying it. But now I'm hearing that I can probably afford the armor makers are offering. Helmet's another matter, I'm going to have to buy one, I don't have the time to get the keystone element right.

My wife and I are going for a Clone Wars era set of costumes. (Oldest kid will be young Boba) The wife and I are going with EU custom characters. Here are my four current colour possibilities.

I would love to hear what you think (of the designs and my uphill battle).

Thanks,

Aaron

if you've got a little time i would suggest that you could build the chest, ab, shoulders, and neck plates yourself by downloading the wizardofflight templates then cutting them out of a large plastic tote or even a plastic garbage can. the cod, gauntlets, knees, and back i would buy from a maker (redkraytdragon makes some good armor for a real good price). and for helmets for large or small adult heads you should send asok a pm about his boba and jango helmets (the jango's are definitely smaller). and finally if you would like any helmets painted i know a guy that can do good things with cold cast helmets (like the ones asok makes) and isn't too shabby with a custom mando helmet.
