New toy blasters - may have potential
Anyone else seen these new toy blasters?

There are two in the series: a DC-15 Clone carbine and a DH-17 Rebel blaster.
I looked at both of them in person and I was amazed at how screen-accuarate they really were. Not perfect, but very, very close.
I was thinking that they would look great with some paint and modifications. And $20 for a 90% screen-accurate prop is pretty good IMO.
Anyone esle seen/used these?

They sell them at Wal-Mart around here. It definitely could be made to look alot better with some paint and details.
Re: New toy blasters - may have potential
Both are alittle smaller then the real thing- the rebel blaster the size difference is negligible, but the clone gun is too small apparently. I been meaning to pick up a rebel blaster for months. =P

Maybe a carbine look? It's about the length of a ST blaster isn't it?

They are both horribly under-sized!
They might be screen accurate if you are a child or a midget.... :doh

Wait a sec there. The Rebel Blasters is NOT horribly under-sized. It's about an inch to two inches shorter than the real thing and most of the details are very accurate size-wise.
The clonetrooper blaster, however is EIGHT inches too short! It is made for a child's hand and could never be made to be accurate no matter how much you mod it.
Rebel Blaster = Great
Clone Blaster = Awful

My Bad.. :lol
I'm talking about the clonetrooper blaster only!
I don't own the Rebel blaster!
Re: New toy blasters - may have potential
Someone over at CT.N made a mod tutorial for the clone blaster. The finished product looks fantastic!
EDIT: here it is: http://forum.clonetroopers.net/index...aster+tutorial
Re: New toy blasters - may have potential
Those blasters have been out for a while. The clone one really sucks. It's scale is way off, and the dart shooting is EXTREMELY weak; try 5ft.
