New Project (Cade Skywalker)

Yeah, Im a bigger dude too, but I'd still recommend making at least the top stomach plate larger, and perhaps the other two as well so they all match up more in size. Don't worry about them not working for us, Im sure they'll work for others still, but having larger sizes are always cool (So us bigger guys don't feel left out:lol: )

I cut out come just "junk templates" for peices to see what evrything looks like when its together, so I taped evrything up (The paper templates) and aside from bowing out in the back from the wonky shape I cut out, the front looks fracking awsome. I'll post a pic. here tomorro morning if I can before I leave.

So, here's what I have done so far: The armour is for the most part done, though I'm thinking of a couple of tweaks, the wristwraps are done, the belt is done, the sash is in progress, I need to iron it so it stays wrinkled.

I'd like to first let you know, that I WON'T be using these strap peice tempates as my final ones, I just cut these out so I could attach them. And like I said, my back tempates didn't work, so I didn't bother showing them, I cut them to straight. :facepalm

Here are my shins, all painted. I've attached elastic straps with parachute clips, and backed the shins with foam. The only thing I have left to do is spray them with a clear coat.

I'm very anxious to see everyone else's progress.

I bought some awesome leather pants last night for Cade. I got a sweet deal on them too. Regular $325, on sale for $100! And that's Canadian Dollars too! Hehehe. I'll take some pics in full gear, but not until I see some more progress by the other folks working on this costume. Come on guys, do you really want me to be the only Cade at C4? (Plus maybe you guys have some ideas I can sneakily acquire for myself).

Im not going to C4 so I don't have a set date to be done by.....But if I where, I'd be working on it right now.

I went home this week and got my shoes that I'll modify. My red waistband is shabla osik right now, I need to figure out a new way to work it. I'm in the middle of midterms too, so...yeah. Not much time for costuming, but I'll get some pics up in the next week or so.

Thanks vod. I still need to figure out a better way to do the wrist wraps, since they fall down a bit. And I haven't figured out a way to make the waist wrap work properly, that's why I'm not even wearing it in those pics. If anyone has any ideas let me know. Also, I'm thinking the armour is a little to small for me, so I may end up redoing it. If anyone feels like buying that chest armour, PM me.

Your costume is looking fantastic ShtirLavan.

Well my progress has been very very slow, partly due to laziness and party due do not having the right tools. But I finally have my armor molded, it looks really messy and isn't at all even, but i think i can get away with it in the paint job.

I am planning to paint it red and black, chest pieces red and stomach black. One thing I am really unsure of is what paint to use and how to do the battle damage. I'm living in Madrid, so if there is anybody out there from Spain who can advise the best place to get paint from it would be very appreciated!

Thanks
Pete

Pics to come soon
